Thought that myself at first glance, but they are the usual reviews you normally get around Gore-Tex shoes being tight fit.

Thanks OP, the review is quite a mix, some say comfort (and need bigger size) and some say there are strip inside and make it difficult to walk with. I think I would give it a try (good price) to order a full size bigger.

merrel usually have complaints about the small sizing - is that a new thing?
i used to wear them many years ago and were fine in my 'normal' size so its same thing for me as well or keep to my regular merrel size?

Many reviews saying shoes too narrow. Had a pair of Merrills before that were too narrow. So will not be buying these shoes despite a good price.

Any I've tried for the past 8 years have been too small by 1/2 size.

Same myself, always a size 8 in any brand but with anything Gore-Tex have to go 1/2 size larger and I have narrow feet.

I bought a pair of these a year ago from TK-Maxx, i've worn them virtually every day since and they've been the best pair of walking shoes i've ever owned. I bought another pair in the same size from Amazon recently, but I had to send them back because they were too tight - I was gutted

Tkmaxx prices are much cheaper than this.

Can't wait to see your deal posting for them.

Arrgh, needed size 10 or 10.5. They're certainly not £46. Was looking for a set of goretex hiking boots too!

Sorry but a lot of the sizes have now went back up in price since posting.

That's OK. Thanks for posting. Heat added BTW

The most comfortable mid boots I have ever worn and I have worn quite a lot, definitely get the 1/2 size up if u can though.

Sadly no 12 1/2 or I would of bought a pair. Even though I am still wearing a pair for walking.

PM sent. Have another link for a pair in 12.5 at same price if anyone wants send PM, only 1 remaining.

Merrell are good. You should go a size up or half size with any hiking boot due to thick socks in the cold and room for movement.

All gone now in 12.5

I've had these shoes for about 4 months and they've just started to leak. Otherwise fine, very comfy

Most sizes have now sold out at the price since posting, being replaced by third party sellers at stupid prices.

It was still a good deal at the time. Amazon seem to be doing this a lot, one size discounted stupidly low and other sizes normal price.

Great footwear. I'm fully stocked otherwise would be buying. Last ages, worth spending more on. A+

Quick Q chaps... How do you guys find these deals on amazon? I have tried using the search tools on amazon to try and find some cheap kicks recently but having problems. Any tips?
Sorting by price low to high is useless, for example I have selected Merrells price low to high size 11
Results below: Yet not one pair can I see for £38!! I mean what gives? Is there a better way of searching amazon?
TIA

Size 14 was at the discounted price as I was surprised it took so long to get snapped up.

try getting the 'lowest offer for each' thing to show
not sure how to get it every time but if there are other sellers you can click through there
Edited by: "brilly" 23rd Oct

Thx Brilly, that was going to be my next question, how do you get the 'lowest offer' tab to show? I have only ever seen it on links from here... lol. I had a good look before I posted, buggered if I could find it. I'd be gratful if you could point me in the right direction.

I've never been able to find it again past while on full website, but used to be able to see it on the mobile app though noticed past week even that has changed also. If you have a filter applied on the full web version, sort low to high, you will see them in price by your size. Though if you wishing to post a "bargain" look at the from and too prices, head into the item, then go through the sizes to see what the prices are. At the time you looked they where sold out and was only showing third party offerings which was why you couldn't see them just though.

Thx bud.

Last time I bought cheap Merrells the sole had worn out in 3 weeks, false economy.

Ouch that's not good, just worked out I got around 1500 hrs use from mine to date, not quite dead yet but the toe cap rubber is coming away and inside, the heal material has worn through and looking a bit tatty in general. Overall I think the quality of the ones I have are decent. Which ones did you buy btw? Will make sure to avoid.
