a pretty good App to keep a weather watch.....
some info....
Weather forecasts from the Met Office are now available on the iPhone and iPod Touch with the launch of the Met Office weather app. Users will be able to access up-to-date weather forecasts quickly from the UKs national weather service while on the move.

The Met Office weather app will provide easy access to the latest weather information and warnings wherever you are. The app will allow users to save favourite locations so local weather information is available at their fingertips 24 hours a day. This new app is now available from the Apple App Store.

Nice little app, but for some reason it seems to think I'm in Lower Clapton? I'm not even in England...!

Thanks... will offer an alternative to the Yahoo! sourced "Weather" application installed by default on my iPhone.

BFN,

fp.

Excellent - thanks for that.
Not sure if this is posted already - but freeappalert.com/ is also another really good way of getting free iphone apps - albeit rather hit and miss

nice.

After a quick usage test, I'm finding the "Met Office Weather application" better than the pre-installed application. Very informative, but a little slower to use because of the extended information that needs to be read before you can navigate to a different location.

The only other issue I have found (so far) is that I do not seem to be able to delete entries from the Favourites list once they have been added.

Other than that, a great addition to my iPhone.

Thanks again.

The problem with that is that you don't get to see new apps until they've already been downloaded a bunch of times - by which time they might not be free any more. Many offers only last 24 hours.

That's the point of them. They get a load of people to download the app for free and then when it gets near to the top of the list they start charging for it. This way people think it must be a great app and go ahead and purchase it.

Info from the Met Office. Right, because they predict the weather so correctly don't they...

Lots of bugs on my phone. Will be great when an update comes along.
