Konami Digital Entertainment continues forth the ‘METAL GEAR SOLID V Experience’ with the latest chapter, METAL GEAR SOLID V: The Phantom Pain. Ushering in a new era for the franchise with cutting-edge technology powered by the Fox Engine, MGSV: The Phantom Pain will provide players a first-rate gaming experience as they are offered tactical freedom to carry out open-world missions.

Nine years after the events of MGSV: GROUND ZEROES and the fall of Mother Base, Snake a.k.a. Big Boss, awakens from a nine year coma. The year is 1984. The Cold War serves as the backdrop as nuclear weapons continue to shape a global crisis. Driven by revenge, Snake establishes a new private army and returns to the battlefield in pursuit of the shadow group, XOF.

The METAL GEAR SOLID team continues to ambitiously explore mature themes such as the psychology of warfare and the atrocities that result from those that engage in its vicious cycle. One of the most anticipated games of the year with its open-world design, photorealistic visual fidelity and feature-rich game design, MGSV: The Phantom Pain will leave its mark as one of the hallmarks in the gaming industry for its cinematic storytelling, heavy themes, and immersive tactical gameplay.

Key Features:
- Open-World game design allowing players ultimate freedom on how to approach missions and overall game progression

Great Price , Great Game.

Still waiting for this to be less than £10, but still a good price.

Well worth this price.

Absolute great game....bought it some months ago for £12; never having played any of the MGS games before, not expecting much and have now close to 100 hours in-game ... It's absolutely brilliant and well worth this price!

Great game. A little bizarre if you have not played other MGS but very well made, well worth this price.

I found that too, but yes it's a fantastic game. I put in about 60 hours but there is easily triple that of you're after S missions ranks and are a completionist .

Ooooo bored of warhammer tw bored of overwatch and bored of life. Will try

I took some time to "read up" on the background story on wikipedia and various youtube videos; it made it slightly less confusing, but damn ... the story line is just a confusing mess at times - particular since the games aren't released in chronological order.

Had it since new and played 30 mins...

Bored of Battleborn will pick this up, thanks!

I've only played MGS:1, hated Sons of Liberty and never revisited the franchise after that. Should I?

It's only as confusing as it is because the entire last chapter of the game is missing. I mean, it IS hella confusing but missing a chunk of the game doesn't help. Lol.

Seriously, look up the actual ending to the game on YouTube. Looks like it would've been awesome! Shame they fired Hideo before it was finished and then decided to release an unfinished game at full price.

Konami should seriously get aids.

You should. A lot of fans consider MGS2 to be the weakest in the series. You absolutely should play MGS3: the story is MUCH better, the systems are more interesting, the boss battles are more frequent and fun, there's a camouflage system, you get to eat crocodiles... Basically it's a great, great game and a real high point for the series. If you liked MGS1 but didn't like 2, I think you will really like 3.

Oh, and if you can, I think you should play "MGS3: Subsistence" rather than the original version. It's an improved version of the original and comes with a 3D player-controlled camera, which would have made my original MGS3 experience much better.
