Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain Xbox One Digital Download £10.92 via South Africa

This deal may go cold due to people not wanting to purchase from foreign stores, but the South Africa store is so easy to purchase from.

Go to the Xbox.com page, change region to South Africa and check the price of the game in ZAR. convert the price from ZAR to GBP on a site such as XE.com to check the cost. Go to prepaidgamer.com and purchase a gift card/s for the amount of ZAR you require. So for this you need R200. This will cost £10.63 roughly and most cards are charged a 2.75% for foreign transactions, hence the £10.92. Then go back to Xbox.com and make sure you are on the South African region and click on your account and "redeem code". Redeem the codes, then return to the game page, and purchse the game. It will ask what payment method you would like to use and will show the amount of ZAR you have in your wallet, and click purchase.

The game will actually only cost £8.87 and you will end up with some South African change of a few quid but if you do this in the future then it's nothing to worry about. You dont need any VPN or fake address or anything for this to work. And the South African page is in english so it's so simple.

Pair this with a game share "family member" and its a fiver each.

Gamesharing on XBOX is a pretty big draw. I doubt MS will ever get rid of that.

What game sharing?

XBOX game sharing allows 2 people to share digital purchases across their XBOX ones. It was intended to be a way you can play your games across 2 XBOX ones if you own 2. So one at home and another somewhere else but both consoles will have the same games on them. You can use this feature to share games between you and friend. So whatever you buy, they can play and vice versa. Do this to effectively half the price of games and buy from abroad and games cost very little.

Unfortunately that's not quite true. EA Access does not transfer. XBOX Live I'm not 100% sure on but I doubt it although you can have family accounts with multiple people sharing 1 Live account. But I believe this is only on 1 XBOX one.

Don't think anyone is having any joy even with UK credit and debit cards. Microsoft have blocked use of payments made using a vpn. Not sure how long the buying credit route will last but it's the only way now and has limits to what countries you can use.

Fortunately it is true for me and my mate, my Xbox live access gives him access, and my EA access gives him access to the games too.

Its definitely true. I game share from Spain with my mate in the UK and he enjoys all my free EA access vault games and xbox live.

These deals are not so hot now you end up with extra credit left over on your account.
Knowing my luck I'd do it a few times and end up having Microsoft blocking this method too leaving credit in limbo!

Yeah I had a feeling it wouldnt get hot, and thats why I put the price as £10.92 for the fact you have to buy the R200, but if you are someone looking to buy the game digitally, then it's still over 5 quid saving over the UK price. Every little helps. Plus if you work it out correctly shouldnt ever have more than a few quid left in the account. And aslong as the Xbox stays region free, I can't see them ever removing this method, as it's purely web based and I could be in South Africa buying this game. They would never know. The reason Revolut got stopped is the shear amount of transactions that would have been going through in multiple locations from those cards would have started showing.

I just keep my account to UK and South Africa now, so I would always have a fairly straight forward answer if I was ever asked that I have family there or some ****. lol.

Once the subscriber downloads the vault games, the other gamersharer can access them, only thing you can't access when gamesharing live and ea access is the trials and gold discounts and gwg titles (until the original owner downloads those)

Been gamesharing since the start so know what works and what doesn't

I stand corrected. I have EA access and game share with a friend. He said he couldn't get the EA access games. Now I know he's being a doofus I'll tell him to sort it out. Cheers.

How can I buy this credit I live in Northern Ireland

Just go to prepaidgamer.com. it's a website based in South Africa so your card will be charged a small fee for a foreign transaction which is usually 2.75% ish. check your bank website for the exact charges. but if you buy a R200 card, and your bank is 2.75% the. it will all amount to roughly 10.92.

Help please i have purchased game but it has asked for my profile address. Im having trouble inputting my postcode says incorrecrly formatted postcode???? Any help appreciated thanks.
