This is awesome. I was at the Slane concert, in the Snake Pit right at the front (had tickets and then went on to win the Metallica Fan club competition). Was incredible.

Here's some of the pics I took...

Great stuff. First time I saw them was at monsters of rock 95. Happier days.
I've seen Metallica a few times live over the years and they are the best live band I've seen. I've been in a mosh pit and it's so friendly. Someone goes down everyone holds people off while they get up. Everyone knows all the words. Just a great vibe

I bet no one will complain about this free viewing, like they did about Joe Wicks heat!

True, these are official ones though so for example Slaine castle one on YouTube is bootleg quality from a mixed audience camera sources I think (at least the one I found) whereas this one was proper cams filmed and sound (I assume from the soundboard like the live releases they put out online) Plus advert free apart from the one before the show, I lost count how many ads was in the one I saw on the fan channels.

Great show, they are streaming recordings of live shows every Monday now. Look forward to more
I was there, one of the best concerts ever. But I was further back. thank you for sharing this and make it possible to see it this close
Just seeing this made me listen to four hours of Metallica
Oohhhhh, Yeeah-ehhhhhhhhhh
Can confirm as of 6am it’s still up to rewatch, it does have a 6 Days donation bar underneath so I wonder if it will stay on their channel in a weeks time when the new Metallica Monday concert goes live or if will be replaced with the new one.

will have to find out next week.

Metallica actually stopped the gig at Milton Keynes in ‘99 when the front of the crowd collapsed at the start of the 2nd song, I was at the bottom of the pile up, good times!

Didn't work for me. Gave an invalid URL error.

Update: Scratch that. I just took the 'reload' bit out of the URL (youtube.com/wat…9Fs) and it's fine.

Use " around the URL. It's a bug in the program when URLs have & sign in them.

I was at that one - Metallica, Megadeth, The Almighty and Diamond Head at Milton Keynes on the Saturday, then back home to see Def Leppard, Thunder, Ugly Kid Joe and Terrorvision at the Don Valley Stadium on the Sunday - what a weekend that was!

Was that their Big Day Out tour? Only thing I remember from that is getting sunstroke and starting a water bottle throwing rampage that resulted in Marilyn Manson storming offstage because he got hit.

So jealous. And that price! In recent years, cheapest I've probably paid is £50 Haha. Still worth it tho!
Saw them at the Albert hall in the late 90's, they sounded crap. The support band corrosion of conformity sounded better.

Shame Metallica haven't done anything worth listening to since 1986.
