Found 13th JunFound 13th Jun
Free travel just walk on, all lines.

Well if you come to Manchester by train and its final stop is Piccadilly, then just walk downstairs for Piccadilly Tram Stop, take the first tram with Eccles or Media City written on it and get off at Exchange Quay :)

OK thanks. Which tram stop would you choose?

Eccles or Media City line from Picadilly to Exchange Quay takes around 15 minutes + 10 minutes to walk from the tram stop to Old Trafford. Count in any additional time for queueing etc. :)

Any advice? The website is awful Foo fighters on Tuesday 19th. As far as I can make out you take the altrinham(?) line to old Trafford. How long will it take from picaldilly and how much roughly. Train is in at 4:30 and hoping to catch wolf alice for 5:30.

I get free trams for life been in the forces and respect metrolink very much for providing the service

Better than nothing but it's just wallpapering over the cracks. They'd be better off investing in a network that doesn't treat commuters like sardines and break down every other week...

Genius ! Thanks :D

Wow, I didn't know about this! Thank you!

i was a Manchester few weeks back and used their metrolink what a s##t service station didn't even have map on it

Probably not but in the past 6 months we've had our ticket checked i'd say about 15 times by different inspectors and not one have questioned it.

Unfortunately, you do need to have a child with you. If they said that you don't, then they were wrong.

I always thought that the family day ticket cards were brilliant value, compared to the prices on other public transport. Never realised that this deal was available. Thank you for posting !:)

I've been on the tram a lot and as long as you've got a valid ticket to travel you're fine! 2 Adults can travel together on a family ticket!

Are you sure that would work? Or, just borrow someone elses child when the ticket inspector is around. :)

The don't really care! imho. if asked bh anyone just tell them your 'child' will be joining you for a later journey etc :-)

umar1980, That's what I thought but the terms state: "Terms and conditions: ..... For Family Travelcards, at least one adult and one child must be travelling together."

Not really a deal though, is it, just a standard fare. All tram networks sell rover tickets so I don't see what's so special about this one. Cold.

I know but it had been £5 for at least 6 years and it is still very very cheap!

Gone up from £5... cold

**** service like the awful customer service. Don't deal with complaints at all
