    Thank god because it's saved the Jeremy Clarkson juniors saying 10+ 1L second cars keep piling up at the side of the motorway because it's impossible to safely join from the slip road unless you have 200 bhp

    wait on the reviews,, wonder if MG can be regarded a safe bet to buy, 7 year warranty is good, but i bet a lot of it won't be honoured

    The only brand that offers a long warranty and then actually stands by said warranty is Hyundai. The rest of them are either short, or find small print to quote and worm their way out of covering whateber failed.

    The problem with MG is that they're only as good as your dealer. They give the dealer franchises A LOT of freedom to basically run however they want to. Some of them are genuinely good and will look after you. Others won't give a crap. If you buy a MG You MUST have a good dealer nearby because they aren't exactly renowned for reliability or build quality - their ICE Vehicles especially.

    Ok I'm gonna stand up for this - I have one on Motability and the boot massive and was perfect for 2 mobility scooters, in terms of initial payment on the Motability scheme it is one of the cheapest and in my opinion you get a lot of car for the outlay. A couple of month ago you got the sunroof, auto boot etc, though its the basic model now thats the cheapest.
    I found it a bit thirsty on the fuel but nice to drive the family about in comfort. Might be tempting fate but had mine for over a year and no issues.
    Not everyones cup of tea, but for me that needed the big boot it worked well at a small outlay.

    I’ve got the PHEV and I think the gearbox revs to high and that’s why it can use a lot of fuel. The kit on the PHEV is top the sunroof on my last car which was a merc was a £2k option!

    I know people who have these through motability and every single one of them have had problems with it. I’d steer clear.

    I very much doubt that the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation will stand behind the 7-year warranty. Having driven in an MG in Thailand, they are very far from an impressive car.

    It also says the engine has to be worked hard and is noisy.

    Friend has it, hardly driven 1k miles then moved abroad and it's on finance. They can't return it so will just keep it. £350 a month lol

    You'd need to pay me to ever have, drive or recommend another MG.

    Having had an MG6 for around 3 years, I had endless issues with it including: faulty wiring, dual mass fly wheel, clutch, snapped window regulator, faulty led rear light plus more.

    Between arguing with 'warranty' and having it in the garage, I drove the car for around 2 years (Flywheel replacement was around 5 months of this). Having the flywheel and clutch replaced 'under warranty' cost me £900!!

    Just to add, after having the flywheel replaced, and then driving for another year, I got rid and traded it in...

    After bumping into the sales rep around a month later, he informed me that it needed replacing again! This wasn't viable so they had to scrap it.
