Good fun for enthusiasts these - with some tinkering you can avoid the awful Xiaomi app and make them work with things like Samsung Smartthings, IFTTT and others. Personally I use zigbee2mqtt running on a Raspberry Pi - much more control.

There is no camera here just sensors ,also if you use Smatthings you don't need this hub ...
These will work with ST Once you create a device handler I believe. They are available on the ST Community
Same sensors and Smatthings

Do you think they are compatible?

it does push notifications and you don't have to have IFTT or Smartthings.
The Mi App does notifications and automations.

You're better off buying the newer version hub. It doesn't have a loud speaker or light but it powers via a micro usb, has WiFi, Bluetooth mesh, ZigBee and works with both android and homekit whereas the old version I don't think were that compatible.. you either had to have xiaomi mijia or aqara.

I just realised this is on the mi shop direct, I wonder if that hub has a UK plug?
You can get X2 sensors for around £12, X2 door/window sensors for about £12, the wireless switch for around £7 on AliExpress (from China though) total £31

You can pick up the later Xiaomi multi mode Bluetooth mesh, WiFi, zigbee, home kit and Google compatible hub for £20.

Its an alternative option but obviously not shipped with a UK warranty

how easy it it to set the xiaomi stuff on the smartthings hub? i believe its not native? is it a lot of tinkering to get it to work? ive current got the xiaomi hub with the sensors and switches connected to yeelights but want to ditch the hub and get the smart things hub so i can buy different lights from different manufacturers and make it all work together.

Yes I'd like to know the same. I don't like the Mi Home app, and am not using the sensors anymore as a result. If there was an easy way to integrate them into a different environment then that would be great.

You need a custom device type handler very easy to do, either copy and paste or directly through github

Nope it even contains the hub I just migrated to Smatthings but had this hub before
Do these hubs work via a remote server or do they create their own network? Am getting to the stage where I need a hub.

Agh I get it, probbaly going to use IFTTT with some Sonoff Switches I have then
Would these work with Hue, to trigger lights etc.?
I use these with the conbee 2 controller. Work perfectly. I have the Xiaomi hub if anyone wants it for free, since I don’t use it.

Would love the hub if still available ?
I have a hub I don't use also forgot to say, oh and you want these sensors buy from a aliexpress as I think someone has said... Never paid more a fiver for motion sensors and a couple of pounds for the others.. Still for a UK seller with the hub it's a cracking price...
