This is my first post, so please be kind and bear with me.

I received an email from Argos today advising me of a further discount on the Miami Lay-Z spa, which they had on offer already reduced from £499.99 to £254.99. It appears that there is an extra 15% on garden lines over £50, and the price quoted in the email was on promotion at £216.74. The website is still quoting £254.99, but I phoned and they honoured the discounted price.

Sorry have tried to provide photo, but am having problems getting it to upload - but I know this has been on offer here at higher prices recently, and confirm that it is the same one at a much lower price. Hope this helps

The price has now gone up to £299.99

Hot! Paid £299 for mine last week. Love it.

What was the number you called ?

I called and was told the spa had been reduced by a third and then the 15% was then applied which it does work out at the advertised price. So you were lucky if you got it for 219

hot on price though never get why anyone would use these or want one!

wacky question but could this be used inside like in the living room ?

Thanks Hun

Could you upload the email showing price please?

States on email "prices shown already include discount"
£254.95 is the correct price
£449 less a third is approx £300 less 15% is £255
The telephone operator who applied the additional discount for you is probably sacked!

Don't see why not, just make sure the floor can hold the weight. We had a blow up pool much bigger in the abode before.

These are good but need to be cleaned quite often so if your on a water meter, be prepared...

The cheapest at homebase is 300? How u work that out

cheaper @ homebase

how ?

When the original email was sent out by Argos it showed £216.74 (11/04 @ 11.20am) - I tried to buy on line with no success - It showed £254.99 - I went into a store with my mobile and showed the offer to a manager who honoured the price. About 4pm the email had been modified to show it at £254.99 without the further 15% - Don't understand how they were able to modify an email already sent but they did.

nc1969 is correct - email appears to have been amended somehow - however if you hover your cursor over the picture of the miami lay-z spa picture in the email it says "Bestway Miami Lay-z Spa Was £449.99. Promo Price: £254.99 Event Price £216.74 Less than half price. I've just checked my email again just now. If someone can tell me how to upload a picture on here I will upload a picture of my email showing this.

Sorry Sid1763 but I think this makes it less than your Homebase price, so I'd at least try Argos first before settling for the Homebase price if they have stopped honouring it.

Really hope this helps you all - maybe you might even have the added benefit of getting the £10 Argos voucher I missed out on by buying yesterday.

Btw the number I called was just the number under the contact us information on the website.

I've copied the picture of my email onto my avatar for you to view the £216.74 price as I haven't figured out how to upload the image properly yet. Hopefully you will be able to see this - though you might need to click on my details to view it properly. Though check your inbox in case you received the email too, and hover your cursor over the image and you should see this there too.

They've changed the price in the email as the text/price is an image hosted on their website. They've updated the image, which in turn updates everyone's emails. Very sneaky.

I got the new model last year but I wouldnt have one of the ones posted argos.co.uk/sta…htm?CMPID=GS001&_$ja=cgid:10768052807|tsid:41259|cid:162024167|lid:54854196173|nw:g|crid:33865589927|rnd:9218019518307473855|dvc:t|adp:1o1

Argos & Homebase are the same company.

Hi bluebell70 can you provide me with your order number as apparently it's not valid on hot tubs only garden furniture?? I need evidence to back up lol thanks

I rang up.. got told the 15% has already been added along with the 1/3 off.. told then it states on web site 15% on top . but they wouldn't budge

Ordered one of these the other day, paid the advertised price and bought the chemicals, although have 3 1/2 week wait for delivery.

Lol. Argos are useless! Ordered this on the 12th of April for a delivery today. Just checked the order on their website and its been delayed to the 4 of june. No email regarding the change. Customer services aren't any help either! Not using Argos from now on, been prated around by them too many times now!

is this Monaco as roomy as they say, is it really deep enough and is the heater adequate at 2KW. Would you recommend the Monaco as worth the cash?

Its ginormous. It is 6ft accross. When you sit down you have 3ft before your feet touch the sides. When full it comes to the top of my shoulders and im quite tall, best thing ive bought in ages.

Great 1st post, welcome to hukd

Is the miami spa noisey when not in use ie when filled up and heated as I was thinking of putting it outside by my bedroom window if it's noisey won't be able to sleep
