Pigs?!!

Well if you must have a hot tub or spa then this is the way to do it rather than spend £1000's on an installed one that devalues the house by £20k

Although I never knew people got into Hot pig spas

Cant see why it devalues your house. They are not permanent fixtures.

FYI, we have had a lay z spa for years, great but it sounds like you are running a dyson in the garden and the neighbours hate it lol

Utter rubbish.

brought two as a business venture

How long is it before the water gets up to temperature and how much roughly to run one of these babies?

From watching the video it looks really good and easy to use..............tempted (_;)

Could you buy this and build an enclosure for it? Or is it just a novelty thing?

Ive known people do that but cleaning it becomes more difficult

any cheap rolex watches?

Markeymark. You could build an enclosure but would need cover unless u get with spa, people are using use for kids party's charging £150 for the day , great business

Been looking at these for a while now. At this price it's worth a punt ! Thanks

Where did you bring them to?

Louisetinkerbell109 you make a small fortune good luck

These are great if you look after them. First time takes good few hours to heat up but then it stays at whatever temperature you set it at and just turns on every now and then to stay at that temp. Obviously the higher you have this base heat the more expensive it is to run but you can jump in straight away otherwise run it cooler but you'll need to up the temp half hour or hour before getting in.

Make sure you stay on top of chemicals and put it away in the winter.

Bit of effort and bit noisy for neighbours when bubbling but soon nice to have a permanently warm neck deep bath waiting for you 24/7

Heat given and ordered.
Do you just put chlorine tablets in this please? and from the above post i am guessing you just leave it powered on all the time.
Regards
J

reading the guide, filters should be changed every three days, the water needs to be changed every three days and someone above recommends leaving it on constantly. may be a good price but sounds like a money pit.

Do people keep the heat powered on when outside all the time? must cost abit on electric as ambient outside temperature is gonna be cold ? I was thinking you just heat it up from cold for a few hours when gonna be using it?

Well maybe not £20k but on various TV renovation shows and articles written over the years a hot tub is often referred to a likely devalue your house rather than add any real value to it.

Anyhow, this £150 tub hardly falls into that category

Anyway I'm not going to give facts and figures because I don't have any and this is a public internet forum and if I want to say something that others may find unbelievable and unlikely I have the right to do so.

It heats the water up by 2 degrees per hour, so if your water went in at 10 degrees and you want to heat it to the max of 40 degrees it will take 15 hours to heat up. It is a 2kw heater so will use 30kwh of electric to heat it up.

It's great fun to use but do bear in mind it takes qquite a bit of maintenance with chemicals, etc.

Buy this on your mbna card and get another 20% off!

Got mine 3 years ago, still working fine. Doesn't get the use it should but it's great to relax in when the kids ain't in it

Don't know where they get that it'd evaluates the house from I had one in my old house with a huge pagoda over it and it was the clincher for my house sale the new owners snapped the house up lol

Hows that work then? Does it need to be a sainsburys mbna card?

I don't understand where the dodgy estate agent got the idea that a hot tub will devaluate your house by 20k we had one alongside some decking and upon selling our house if was an option for the buyers to keep or we would take away , they snapped it up and made an extra £4k on top of our asking price even with Kirsty Allsop having a dip for an hour in the tub !

This is probably the boxster of all porsches

just ordered thanks very much!

Ordered! Booom! thanks op best deal ive seen for these!!!

Reserved the Vegas spa myself, thanks op

I was tempted but it's only 24" deep when you sit in it so it does not cover your shoulders. I found a 29" inch one from a well known auction site and spa supplier in Redhill so paid a bit more and went for that on. Just hope we have a good summer. Basingstoke HB were selling last year's model this morning. The Vegas.

Do a search on "hot tub devalues house" and you'll find an awful lot of top X things to devalue your house lists that contain water features, pools and hot tubs. Personally I would expect it to devalue your neighbours house rather than your own :-)
