Hmmm, covers a lot of video codecs but are they any good, not sure if it can downmix DTS or if an amp is required. Anyone got one of these?

same price at amazon - dont think this was ever at nearly £50!

Well the v1 is 14.00, also would rather buy and spend the extra and get from a UK company, Good luck trying to return this if anything went wrong

Our whole office (12 have bought these, with the member discount and quidco15 code they work out at about £15.50 each INC the free HDMI lead
Everyone id very happy with them and yes we know about the crap remote (you can always buy a programmable if you want) and the stops at 1hr or so on certain MKV films but we dont really care, its simple to use, cheap and a hell of a lot better than what we used to use........
I will upgrade to something else later (maybe a google internet tv box or something similar) and this will be relagated to the bedroom but for now I say get one

Ronnie

btw Ive had mine for about 6 months and it hasnt broken yet

I did think 50 quid was a fantasy price. I have a WD TV Live, was just considering one for my daughter for her bedroom. It's probably a pos though so will give it a miss.

Ive had a couple now for the kids room and they work a treat !

These are great bits of kit, nice to see the V2 has now dropped to the price (roughly) that the old model used to be at (when it was sold on bargainl price). These never retailed at £49.99, they where generally at £25-35, but this is still a great price for a very good item.

Don't confuse this with the sumvision cyclone as this is a clone and was being passed off by dealtastic as an original but fortunately that has now stopped. Varying reports of this being worse \ better in some respects than the original.

Yes its a clone of a Sumvision but for the price if it gets people interested then that's fine by me. It can be relagated to a kiddies bedroom or whatever when you buy a network/hard drive version
Personally I think its the dogs doodahs, Ive never watched so many classic films and the Divx/Xvid codec works great an gives a decent picture

Thumbs up

dont forget the quidco15 code for 15% off the price!

Am i right in thinking the Sumvision one allows the mk2 to play and this doesn't? Apart from that its the same thing, right? Also, does anyone know if it will read from a NFS formmated usb drive?
Edited by: "eilz" 27th May 2011

Ive used a 500gb 2.5" USB drive on it and it works fine
Ive thown avi, divx, xvid, mkv and mpg videos and apart from the 1hr stop on mkv its been fine (its justs stops round about a hour, if you know its coming you can stop and then restart again otherwise you would have to fast forward though past that point), thats why i generally use xvid etc instead

hope it helps

Any used a drive formatted in NFS? Will it read this file format type? anyone know?

^^ i think it will only read fat 32
