i was after a long HDMI cable to connect a tablet up to my tv, most seem to be 1m in length which is fine if you're sat close to the TV but not so good if you want to sit on ya sofa and put your feet on the coffee table between! it's all about the length.

please note this is a *micro* D-type to standard size!

this was the cheapest i could find on Amazon, even beating ebay where i'll usually shop for leads, it says RRP £17.26 saving 71% but you'd have to be insane to spend that on a lead.

if it has a micro hdmi out then i would have thought so - you'd need to double check ya manual though to be 100% sure.

Nothing to do with Micro USB. You need an HDMI out port which the Xperia Play doesn't have. Heat to the OP - whilst there are plenty of 2m leads available for less, that extra bit of length is well worth having.

Not voting either way but I got one + a Droid X screen protector for £3.07 off ebay delivered from California within a week.

Works great with My Motorola Razr - Droid X screen saver going spare if anyone wants it

No.

[1]Unless you have one the very rare early development units, which did have an HDMI port on the front.
