Just found this whilst looking, and just ordered, what a bargain, only £24.00! for a real Scalextrix Set (This is 1:64 scale), this is £49.69 on Amazon!
Again, like my earlier Hornby Eastern Rover Train Set post, a dubious original price, but one which is claimed by most other retailers including Tesco, to be the original price, and often seen at 'Half Price £39.99' elsewhere.

Plus you can have this delivered to a local store for FREE, very convenient, save waiting in! Don't have a very account, open one and get 10% off, or same price at Woolworths.co.uk (all same company, but often different prices)

Includes 2 x Aston Martin DBR9's, a decent track layout, and special section of track containing a lap counter, so good for races between me & my boy! Much better than those cheapo Argos chad valley / ToysRUs fast lane sets which are often battery powered.

Great Christmas Present, Bargain Price, another present sorted!

Here's a picture I've just uploaded to show you how the layout looks....

Not bad huh? Track Length 4.28m, but takes up an area of only 170cm x 110cm, ideal for those like me, who are lacking in space for these things.;)

They were still on Mini Clubmans when I last got one!, and then I got some Super Stox cars, and me and my dad both had a couple of 911's with lights! happy days, hopefully it'll be the same experience for my son.;)

must... resist...

Why? Go on, at this price, you know you want to!
The way I look at it, this is the only way I'm going to get to drive an Aston Martin! unless I win the Lotto tomorrow.;)

i must test it out first......only to make sure it works you understand! ;),nice one have some heat!

Quite agree, but then again, they're not £24, infact not even close!
The 1:32 are obviously better, it's what I used to have, but I decided I don't have the space, or budget, and the new / cheaply made 1:32 'Start' sets aren't really any better. Most of the regular 1:32 Scalextric sets I found that had a decent layout were all about a £100:(

showing as £30 now on their website?
