They are on B&Q's web site too so no need to travel to the store unless you want to look at them in the flesh first!

At B&Q..

They do motion detectors and stuff, quite cheap too.

Quite a few cameras left in the Lincoln store about an hour ago, i went down for the Yale alarm/safe mentioned on another thread but there was none of them.

:-D This is incredible!! I have just zoomed to my local B&Q (Burton on Trent) and there isn't much of everything on the shelves, so if you want it hurry as it will fly off the shelves tomorrow. I asked the guys at the shop why it was so cheap, and even they were baffled by it.

They have fantastic stuff. I have just spent £81 on stock that cost £336 yesterday.

Here's a list of what I've got:

2 camera system, with either automatic channel changing sensor or buzzer. This was £89.99 yesterday and I've got it for £22.74

An extra colour camera (for the hell of it) because it was £69.99 and is now £17.

A complete wireless alarm system reduced from £99.99 to £24.99 - amazing! It comes with a remote control, so you don't have to punch in a code when you come or go from your house. It only comes with one remote control, so I bought an extra one for my partner, and 2 window/door alarms wcich cost me an extra £14.99 - reduced rom £69.99.

Finally I bought a scart splitter for £2 odd.

If you have been thinking about getting some security in your home, I recommend you go to B&Q NOW or tomorrow morning because this stuff is going to fly off the shelves. And let's face it, it will knock some money off your home insurance if you've got a security system.

I am now celebrating with smugness with a lovely cold beer. Thank you so much for the heads up - God I love this website! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

Also look out for the student alarm kit.

You get a PIR operated alarm (Goes off if you dont type in the correct code), A personal attack alarm and TWO brass locks (Small, ideal for suitcase) which both operate with the 3 keys ---- All for £1.01. (Why the extra 1p???)

Nearly bought the camera (colour) for £17.00 but thought it pretty useless. PIR switches channel on TV (If you are watching, you might notice it) OR sounds the buzzer instead. Outside pic NEEDS lighting source so needs to run in conjunction with PIR Soptlight.

Imagine, in the middle of a match, a badger runs across the lawn!!!

Nah! I'll not worry about tis one. The PIR op Spotlight will frighten most would be intruders away.

The 1p ( under or over IE 99p and £1.01 ) is to make sure that the Cashier actually scan's the item and gives a receipt, Rather than just nicking your £1, while on the till and not giving any receipt ?!

K

thanks mike, but when i go online it says only in-store

^Thats because you can only collect from a B&Q store.

What is the best method for recording the footage though?

Yes sorry, I have altered the first post to let members know that although they can view the deals on line they can only buy from the local store and not on line as well.

@ Cos2k3

Video or DVD, there's one Camera, if you can find it, that records automatically when someone sets off the PIR:

Displays the time and date of the recording onto your TV screen and … Displays the time and date of the recording onto your TV screen and videotape and the system automatically starts recording on your video/DVD when camera sensor detects movement.

And that would be the:

Looks like an early start in the morning...fortunately I have about 4 of the SUPER SIZE warehouses to choose from.

Agreed.
There seems a sudden influx of alarms and cctv on ebay.
I've seen 1 alarm currently at 400% more than the store price with still hours to go.
No doubt they're lurkers to this site.

You can't reserve online, but you can check the stock levels of your local stores online.

You can at Havant, Ipswich & Greenwich

I went and bought a camera set up and 3 alarm systems yesterday and the staff said you can phone the store and they will reserve for 1 day, dont know if thats any help or wether its true or not but might save a wasted journey for someone:thumbsup:

Is this stuff wireless ?

don't think so - which is a deal breaker for me

Just picked up a 2 camera system and a couple of single camera systems too.

There's only one '4 camera system left' about half a dozen '2 camera' systems but loads of singles, colour B&W with PIR etc and a wheen of accessories.

Cue the lurkers - so be quick !

Superb deal.

:-D heat rep and shake it all about

cheers

None of the stuff is marked down on the shelves at the Wednesbury (M6 J9) store, but scans at the right prices on the till. There's quite a few things left - including 3-4 of the wireless camera sets.

I got the Single Camera/mount/cable black and white kit for £7.52

Apprantely every store nationwide is having their security section completely renovated (xmas sales anyone) so they are getting rid of old stock

saved me a fortune on bugular alarm & cctv set up - thanks

Got a 2 camera one from Nottingham. Just got there in time as well as some nob jockey was filling his trolley up with about a dozen of them. I don't know why stores don't apply a one per customer rule on stuff like this. Prices marked down a bit on the shelves but but asked them to price check it and they came in even cheaper. Bought a wireless burgler alarm that was 1/4 of the marked price as well.

The greedy git did leave a few single cameras, video starters etc though. Either that or he went to get another trolley for them (this was at 9am Sat)

Croydon branch had quite a few left this afternoon - colour, black and whites, PIRs etc.

I passed - these aren't something I'd have in/around my home

Singles left in Erdington. A few storage stuff scanning at £1

Got the last two 2 camera kits from Milton Keynes. Still marked as £89.99 on the shelves. Thanks. Several single cameras and two 4 camera controllers still available.

theres *some "wireless" stuff there... it all depends on your definition of wireless though... theres a camera/transmitter which needs mains power, then another receiver unit which goes into your tv.

went to the nottingham/daybrook site this afternoon and got 4 assorted cameras, the 4-way switch and a wireless alarm (box/keyfob/2xPIR) for £85 all in.

now i just need me the wireless keypad and a few door/window sensors. gonna hook the cameras up to my old tivo unit to record the footage from the cameras. wiring it all up is gonna be....errrr.... fun.

there was still a few bits left in the store at about 3pm today (bumped into someone there who asked if i'd seen it on the internet... hello if you are reading!)

theres this guy item number 300160763030 on ebay with a link in his post saying rrp £39.98 selling his at buy it now £34.xx but the link takes you to b+q and its selling at £10.19

anyone no if there r any alarms left in liverpool area 2day!?
