Seems like a good deal, especially when it cost more for a stand and cable, even without the microphone!

Not in till tomorrow morning (Thursday 15th November)

Please note that they sell out fast! JUst been down to buy mine from Lichfield and they've completely sold out...

I am a totally newer. Have to thank you to state this rule out.
Just be aware it's XLR connections, unless you have proper amplifier kit it's not going to attach to anything you have. Good deal for stand, mic and lead if you do though, heat added.
Sweet. seriously a good deal. i work in music and like he said.. the stand alone would cost this much alone. the xlr cable will be god awful though. but for £15 you cant complain.
Not a bad deal for a mic stand, mic is gonna be rubbish however

Hmmm.. Very thin shaft (no jokes please). Ok as a backup if you're gigging or for the home. Experience for me is that it bends from boom connection with constant putting up/taking down and when tightening, the old style screw locks aren't strong. Much better to get one with a grip handle.
Unlike previous Lidl mics, this one does appear to be balanced, which is a very good thing for anything other than domestic use as it will be much more immune to interference (especially from stage lighting).

I'm sure you'll not notice the difference between this and any other vocal mic being abused and fed through an amplifier that is clipping into your ears that are clipping.
Great value for a bit of fun or a spare mic. Any idea what make it is or any more detailed spec available? Lidl did do some deals with Yamaha a while ago.

Yeah - I bought a Yamaha mic from Lidl several years ago, when I didn't know better. It was unbalanced. Don't assume brand name == good!

Just gone and got mine, it is an Axman mic. Stand feels good quality, much like the ones we have at my school.

Can't really comment much, I'm only 16 so have not had much experience in this sort of thing! It needs turning up quite a bit, as it seems quieter than my other mic, but the other one is a condenser. It isn't distorted or anything though, and it feels of good quality metal.
Thanks for your comments ZT742. Sounds like you got a bargain ;-)

An XLR is a standard professional audio connector and is used worldwide. For semi-professional equipment microphones can also be on a 1/4" jack. You can easily change the lead or get an adapter.
can someone please help. i got my daughter this microphone for xmas not realising i needed an amplifier. now i have no idea what i need to get. i have an amp for an electric guitar but i dont know what sort of adaptor would work. if anyone could give me an exact make for either an amp or adaptor u d make my daughter very happy. thanks

You would need an XLR To 1/4" or any microphone amp with XLR input.

amazon.co.uk/6-3…8-4 would do it...
