Five customizable My Favorites keys are as easy to set as your car radio - simply go to a Web site or file, push and hold the button, and it's set.

Enjoy easy access to your favorite music, video clips, and media programs with the press of a key.

Perform common tasks, like opening documents and replying to e-mail with the touch of a button. Or toggle between standard and enhanced F-key commands for even more flexibility.

Put your computer in "sleep" mode or log off Windows with the press of a key to save energy and protect your data.

Good keyboard if not a bit clunky. £8 is a steal for it though

why cold votes? please explain

Good Price

Thanks

I've got this.. paid around £30 for it a few years ago. Loads of useful and customisable buttons, it's comfy and it's still going strong

good find

Does anyone know if this keyboard has USB ports on it to plug in a mouse etc.?

Couldn't see any mention of it, so don't think it's there.

No usb ports, just standard qwerty keyboard, fancy extra buttons, 2-3m metre (guestimating) attached cable - usb plugged (ps2 adapter with mine)

reply is a bit late but hope it helps anyway

Is it just me or does it seem to have the worlds smallest space bar - its three "letter-keys" wide so coudl posssibly count as a space button....

Hmm. It is tiny that space bar!

Sweet deal though, gonna order one after payday.

Hot deal, but ewwww, it's ugly.

Banned

I would have it if it wasn't for the space bar I think

this deal should be much hotter.... there's no keyboard as good as this for double the money play are asking

used 'em/ loved 'em

wow I totally missed that, was going to buy it as well!

Nah, the spacebar on these is "normal" size. Play have the wrong image shown for the prodcut. The japanese version of this keyboard has the small spacebar due to the need for extra language specific buttons alongside the alt and windows keys.

I have had this keyboard for quite a while now and recall paying around 20quid when i bought it. It is a very good keyboard at this price. The programmable keys at the top are incredibly useful. Only downsides i would point out is that i tend not to use the zoom slider much and finding that the actual letter prints on each key is beginning to wear away... particularly around W S A and D due to repetitive use in games.
+ unlike other microsoft keyboards, this one will remember its F LOCK state/setting when you shut down for the next time you boot up.
Bargain at this price, Ive bought another one as a spare. Good find

I just ordered a keyboard a few days ago cost £10, microsoft office comfort curvey thing, looks nicer than this one but not as many features. This is an incredible price and I so would have bought this.

Bought, thanks!

this is a great keyboard, voted hot

Extra features = extra gunk software loading at start-up.
The less there is running in the background the better, so I'll stick to my no frills keyboard.

Hot deal if you simply must have more buttons to press though...

EDIT: It also has LOTS of good reviews.

With Microsoft keyboards you have the intellitype driver that supports all the keyboards extra... keys, its a few mb and very useful, especially when the keys are programmable. I make great use of the keys on this Logitech wave I'm typing on now and the 11mb it takes isn't really a great worry in this multi-gigabyte age were living in now. If you're using some really old clunker of a PC then sure, you have to really watch what starts up, so fair comment if thats the case.

£5.50 inc postage from an unnamed auction site. Still hot though.

I've had one on pre-order for a couple of weeks (sent on Saturday) so should be able to answer this question in a day or so (this specific revision of the KB has only just been released - Play have the "Normal" version for twice the price)

That's one sweet Keyb

Tnx dude

can someone let me know how good this keyboard is when theyve got it? i was going for the logitech wave kb but for a kb this cheap with so many features, if its good i will be persuded for this cheaper option.

I've got the wave and use it as my main keyboard. While I do love Microsoft keyboards, the wave is easily the best keyboard I've ever typed on. Putting the extra features aside, the qwerty layout is tweaked to perfection IMO. Things like a space bar twice as deep, over sized enter key, delete key twice the height of the home/end keys. The layout all makes more sense than any other keyboard I've used. Many of the keys are shaped slightly differently to improve hitting them, the CTRL key for instance is ramped forward so your pinky hits it more naturally, the cursor keys aren't just four square keys, they all bulge naturally around the down cursor key making that it feel more natural to rest your finger there on the down key before you extend to the other three keys.

All this probably sounds like a small matter that isn't important at all but these little changes make it easier to type on and add up to a more comfortable experience. If you're a touch typist, type on one for a few days and I'd bet you wouldn't want to use another keyboard again.

Oh and the built in leather wrist rest is perfect.

I've typed on the Microsoft one and the typing action is great. Microsoft make great keyboards. For the money it is a bargain.

i think i will go for the wave and buy this one for my parents system.

making my first custom build so might as well shell out the extra money for something i will use a lot.

The ZOOM feature is really good on this.

Mine came today - great keyboard, really comfortable to use, loads of extra buttons and stuff, keys feel great. I feel like Captain flippin' Kirk sitting here now surrounded by all these extra controls...............
