These'll fly out the door..............................

Not sure I'd call this a game to be honest

Does anyone know how this plays with an xbox controller?... or do you really need a joystick?

Didn't need it but it was on sale - 10GB download in progress! It's Steam Sale Time Again!

try infinite flight

Can I ask why?

Good deal.

Is there any benefit in have the Steam version? I already have the retail version.
Is there better multi-player support through Steam?

My brother in law "plays it" and it's very serious business, he loves it though

I'd check out the flight sim community as there are a lot of mods etc for it which may or may not be compatible with the steam version.

Yes, I have just read the comments:

- Not a RAM hog anymore
- Not Hates graphics cards anymore
- Not slow and unoptimized anymore
- Not unstable anymore
- It runs very awesome on my machine [64 bit]
- The Multiplayer is here !
- Overall, it looks great & fantastic

Depends how much you're willing to put in. Personally I'll play it for a bit, kill some time... then naturally cause the most hilarious crash possible. But yeah, there are folk who will take it very serious. I've heard of folk building their own simulator pods to play it... I'll stick to a casual half hour here or there :P

Its a game like FM2015 ones a sim and the other management. Saying that I own both xplane 10 and MSflight Sim. xplane is like a porsche while msflightsim would be a fiat panda.

Hot from my btw as its a very good price

Bargain - thanks

10GB!!!! I remember when that would have taken years to download -seriously.

My mum randomly bought me a flight stick for my Birthday in september (I was 30) and I have been waiting to pick this up and elite dangerous.

Bargain at this price and air coms too.

Great deal, purchased cheers

Thanks, go with my new Christmas joystick. Heat added.

Just downloaded mine took around 11 mins.. was waiting or this game for a long time

Already have boxed version but worth buying at this price just so I have a Steam copy ready for whatever Dovetail Games have planned for FSX in the future.

Already own but might download it again just to have it on steam instead of pesky dvd! Awesome flight sim!

There is quite a detailed Q&A with Dovetail Games in current (No 95) issue of PC Pilot.

Same here. Any chance of being able to download from Steam without paying and then entering my product code from the DVD box? No DVD drive anymore.

+1!

Hopefully it can get some updates that allow it to use Xfire and SLI!

"serious games" are a very specific type of game, but a game nonetheless! And they're becoming more and more useful

Try prepar3d by Lockheed Martin. It's a worthy 21st Century facelift (aesthetically and updated FSX game engine), costs a lot more, but doesn't feel like you're stuck in 2005.

Should be called Microsoft Terrorist Trainer

so is there any dogfight with this game or it is a purely flying simulator?

Is there not a mega Steam thread?

Much as there is no reason for the mega thread to list every game, there is no reason for every deal to be confined to that thread!

Think of Steam as a host - It keeps all of your games organised and available at the click of a button, allows you to chat, browse, buy etc. Keeps all your games up to date, alerts you too any new patches or updates. In general it just keeps everything more organised. -YAHOO
