its not 8mp camera, its only 5
I bought this phone for a little bit more, it's pretty rubbish. The lack of apps on Windows annoyed me, the camera is pretty poor, and I found myself bashing the screen on many occasions because it wasn't responding. There were also times where the phone would send emails or randomly call people in my pocket. I bought an android phone in the end and I would never go back to Windows. It's cheap and you get what you pay for, so I've not voted either way.

What apps to be specific?

What apps to be specific?

Popular ones like Flickr, Pinterest, Some mobile banking ones which are basically a link to the website. Android has way more. The apps tend to only have a few ratings on Windows, whereas android apps tend to have hundreds, which makes it easier to see if they are any good.
One positive is that the battery lasts forever, I could go a couple of days before needing to charge it.

No, I liked it at first, so much so that I recommended my partner to get one, now she is annoyed by the poor/lack of apps and the fact that hers freezes and needs the battery to be taken out and put back in again for it to work.
Worst phone I've ever had. App store is beyond terrible, every browser is awful to use it really struggles to open websites properly like even this site or try loading n4g... When you scroll you get a white screen. The touch screen is bad as well which is a common issue with the phone it's almost unusable when charging. I wouldn't use this phone if it was free.

I'd have to agree, I even considered going back to an old HTC Desire whilst choosing a new android phone.
See poster in a tesco store saying these were down to £14.99 from £79 but didn't have any and at that price your be lucky to get one.
I really like windows phones, having had android for years, I don't share your experience at all!
I'd also say you get what you pay for, it would be worth spending a bit more on something you're likely to keep for years. Something like a 2nd or 3rd gen Moto G is a far better phone for not too much more money.
Windows phones have their strengths and weakness. They are much more user friendly and reliable but it is a fact they don't have a good range of apps. They have the major ones like Facebook, twitter, whatsapp, viber etc but their are some major ones missing like BBC news, You tube etc.

Having said that Android has thousands of useless apps I wouldn't even look twice at. I think windows phones are great for older people, especially if it is the first time they have seen a smart phone.

I have always had an android phone but windows phones definitely have their place and they will only get better.
The news app that it ships with is just fine for me and uses BBC as a source. I can't think of any app that I used on android that I don't have on windows tbh. I only use the main apps anyway, not interested in gimmicks or games. The hotukdeals app for windows is great! For me it suits as I use windows for my work so the integration is really cool!

I have this phone, the camera is actually excellent considering it's price point, vastly superior to the Moto E that I also own.
this phone is due to have a windows 10 upgrade and in my opinion Edge browser blows all the other smart phone browsers. I use Blackberry Android and Microsoft windows on day to day basis. I use my Lumia as a very smart MOBILE phone to mostly make phone calls and Corp email etc. works flawlessly and fast and battery last s a very very long time where my galaxy note eats battery and where blackberry beyond useless....Ooh just in case you are wondering I do not own any device with IOS on it.....
Ageism. How sad.
I love my Windows phone, backing everything up to the microsoft cloud is a big plus. It has all the apps I need. And a customizable tile shortcut screen which scrolls vertically is much easier than flicking through pages of apps like Android and Apple. Has a useful Kids Area to isolate games without giving little fingers access to your whole phone. Apps can be installed onto the SD card too. Buy one.

I just picked on up and popped my partners talk mobile sim card in. Worked straight away. From what I have seen so far, I had a bit of a play with it and it was fast and had no problem. it depends what you use aphone for. I prefer windows phones but work has provided me with an S5 for free and I don't mind android bit do miss my windows phone.
