I do wonder if we will be able to claim the freebies from the UK :\ Otherwise it appears a cracking deal!

I think so, you get a promo code from Microsoft using the preloaded app, you then redeem at the Microsoft France store, it should then discount the items to £0 (you have to have them in your basket). I checked and Microsoft France delivers to the UK for free..

Much thanks for that If/When I do order I want/need dual sim. Can't believe they didn't offer this to us in the UK.

Actually the charger looks to be a different way to claim than the dock, it says..

1 / Pre-order a Microsoft Lumia 950 or 950 XL from 12 to 26 November 2015.

2 / Fill in the entry form for the
DT-904:. • The original cut IMEI label on the packaging of the phone (no copies will be accepted)
• A photocopy of proof of pre dated between 12 and 26 November 2015 included (email confirmation or invoice) by surrounding the set amount (total or partial), the date of the pre-order and the reference of Microsoft Lumia.
• A photocopy of proof of purchase dated 26 December 2015 later (invoice or receipt) surrounding the purchase date, price and part number of your Microsoft Lumia smartphone.

3 / Send the file with supporting documents no later than January 8, 2016 (date of the postmark).

4 / An SMS will be sent confirming the receipt of a dossier.
The Induction Charger DT-904 will be sent offline within a period of 10 weeks from the closing date of the files.
Also the UK offer for the free dock doesn't start on pre-orders until 20th of NOVEMBER!!!

500 quid is a bit steep for a Windows phone, even though this one sings & dances. Gotta be more competitively priced if they want it flying off Microsoft shelves.

Agreed. I've had a Lumia 925 for the last two years and although I like the hardware and OS, I can't bring myself to continue with Windows Phone on the promise that the app store will get better; I've waited long enough.
930 owner here, I see no reason to upgrade, I will wait until it's around £250.
I need a laptop and a phone. I wonder if the dock can replace my current laptop. Think ill wait till the 20th however for the UK offer.
Windows 10 is a very different product to Windows Phone 8.x. MS have developed app bridges that will allow developers to port apps from iOS and Android over to the Windows platform much easier than has been possible in the past, and there have been rumours of the W10 mobiles being able to side-load Android apps. Not sure about that one though. Anyway, with the integration of the desktop and mobile platforms, I think we'll see W10 steadily growing over the next few years. The lack of apps seems to be people's main gripe with Windows phones - I've used iOS, Android and Windows, and I think Windows is by far the best product for me. As for the 20th, I think that's when they'll start converting the pre-orders into real orders (which need to be confirmed) so I'd expect any pre-orders placed now to still qualify for the free dock.
I've just phoned Microsoft and cancelled my 950XL, pre-ordered @ £529.99.
Amazon UK are now selling @ £500.00.
The person at Microsoft said it's possible the UK will get the Nano SIM dual in 2-3 weeks (Not guaranteed though).

Amazon uk are now £429.99 for the 950 and £479.99 for the 950xl
Price is a joke...MS will never compete at this price level...
Great fan of Nokia mobiles over the last couple of decades, hope Microsoft keep to the high build standards with the 950. I am not a lover of blackberry and have no real use for 95% of apps so don't need Apple or android phone although i have a work ipad with work based Apps that windows still don't supply. My big worry is i have Windows 10 on 3 computers and all 3 have different little glitches that bug me to bits, but i would loose my sanity if my mobile started to glitch 15hrs a day. love the dock ease of use and its small size but will be sitting on the sidelines until the 950 and its software are proven. looking forwards to seeing them in the shops soon to have a play with them.
watch the price drop on an os with rubbish apps and support. I had both 930 and 1520 and loved them but apps and lack of Google services crippled windows mobile. I must mention NO YOU TUBE. ...WTF

What you on about, no youtube? You mean how google deliberately crippled it? MS themselves released a fine YT app, then google banned it.
WP has maybe the best and most capable standard built in browser of any mobile platform, YT works fine on the mobile and desktop site on the phone. And there are other apps for the other Google services too.
Google and MS have been at each other for ages, but apparently have made up with each other recently. I suspect, that if Google can stop seeing Windows phone as a threat, then they will release the apps.

As also mentioned, the app gap (what there still is, it's already shrinking) will be even less relevant with the release of Win10 and universal apps... very much looking forward to it!
this deal even working?
what about VAT? will Her Majesty slap 20% on the £495?
