Found 20th Jun 2013
Asda are having a bit of technology sale - clearing out old mobiles, docks, headphones and other stuff.

One of the better offers is Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student for £30.

This is for the 3 PC disc and also the 1 pc keycode pack - same price for both items.

Bought the 3 PC version left the 1PC keycode from Asda George Walsall this morning .

sorry no photo for receipt - just have to rely on my word.

The SEL may still show £89.99 - get it scanned.

They also had Office 365 for £59.99 - cheapest price seen for a while

Instore only not online

Proper white label not yellow sticker product - saw this at three stores - so will assume national

........and you have how many posts gone above 1000 ? or even 100? or even past the minus mark

Cannot fault Libre Office. Is Microsoft Office as good ?

I saw Office 365 for £59.99 when I went looking for the Windows 8.

OP clearly posted store name; good enough for me.
It's plainly store specific.
I might check my ASDA stores.

thanks for the vote of confidence.

They also had them in Asda Darlaston , proper SEL not yellow sticker, saw it in the morning a few days ago but sold out when I came back in the evening, did not realise it was a good bargain as I had normally used 'back ups'!

I went to Walsall store they have two stores one was sold out and the other had some - it seems a national sell off.

Why would anyone post a receipt as proof ?
Who cares, if i come across a good deal I would just post it here, but will never upload the receipt.

mighty mo- which store was sold out?

Great price, get if you can and you'll have office for life unlike the new subscription model used with office 365. I bought office 2007 for this reason and it cost me 35 second hand which I regarded as a bargain. Heat added

Low blow. There is a lot of tripe posted on here, and some of it gets hot. That's not saying yours is tripe - but it is saying that folk have a right to question, whether they have posted a hot deal themselves or not.

I would say 9 times out of 10 the words "assume national" can be ignored.

office 2010 so much superior to libre. tried to use libre on my new laptop to try it, but missing basic features really cripples it. e.g. no zoom bar in word is extremely annoying.

cheers, but I'll be sticking to open office (just remember to save docs as office format if taking docs into college to work on there), and not have to deal with the ms office ribbon

Libra on my daughters hp windows 8 is crap.

troll needed knocking back!

People should look at the 'ops' history before coming out with 'tripe' , I would agree with you if it was someone new but been on this site for years and would hope that the listings I have made should provide others the reassurance that the deal is valid.

good price if u can find

Hi,
E
Please excuse my ignorance, what is the significance of the yellow sticker v white label?
Thanks.

Is it a requirement ? See a bargain, post it up. Unfortunately don't seem to find many around Pembroke. Hot from me.

If you like Office, this might be good. Otherwise, or if you want to save money, grab yourself Libreoffice or Openoffice (both similar). They're good enough for any home use and most business uses, and they're free. They can also use compatible file formats.

From my understanding a yellow reduced sticker would likely be a store specific reduction, where as if the proper printed white shelf label is showing the lower price is should be national.

No: 'folk' have no rights at all. You can ask by all means but if it was my post I'd tell you where to go (and I don't mean which store!).

So basically you are saying that if someone does not agree with you or dares to question your deal they are a 'troll'?

Just because someone has not been here so long or has not posted many deals does not mean their opinions are valueless, we were all new here once!

I am not saying anything is wrong with your deal but I think your comments are a little unkind.

Not unkind, just brutally honest. Stop dancing around the situation - have some heat Mo!

I have no problem having a valid go at my deal and I agree in principal in what you say however when someone blatantly comes on here and their only comment is "No receipt no proof cold for me" which in my opinion is very disrespectful and not constructive then I will treat them in kind. This happens many times on other 'reputable' ops deals and even on them I will state they are being disrespectful.

Why not just use openoffice?

jb66

Why not just use openoffice?

Why not just use Notepad and Calculator? (cos all programs are not the same)

Excel by itself is worth the £30.

Why use Openoffice when there are better looking clones, like Kingsoft/WPS office

great deal

A half decent deal but for anyone who works for a decent sized company they can get the latest enterprise edition of MS Office for £8.95

Whilst Office has earned billions of dollars for Microsoft, LibreOffice struggles to find the 10s of thousands needed to complete the package for Android.

On PC OpenOffice stuff is fine for most users. And there is Docs and lots of individual apps too.

Hot from me - way way better than the abysmal Office 2013 user interface,

Echoing this.

Worth having a think if you know anyone who works in local council or local government too who would be willing to let you use their deal.

Libre is vastly inferior. You get what you pay for...

Mighty -Mo

I work in local council - with all the cost cutting they have withdrawn … I work in local council - with all the cost cutting they have withdrawn this scheme - apparently sacked the staff who ran the scheme! But that is nothing compared to what is going to hit the public in the next year - lots of services will be withdrawn and the profitable ones will be swallowed up by private companies and offered to people who can afford it. The bankers have really screwed up this country and somehow the coalition has persuaded the uk public that 'freeloading' council and government officers are to take the blame and have to take the biggest hit of all. Absolute disgrace.

this forum is for deals not gold plated pensioned apparatchiks bitching about their cossetted lifestyle being tinkered with at the edges
.. in the private sector many us have to work 2 jobs to make ends meet until were 70 and haven't even the dream of any form of reasonable pension or retiring at the age you characters can ... never mind the gold plated final salary pension scheme you get F.O.C. at our (tax payers cost)
