It is a fact that it is legit .... an alternative fact.

£7 for MS office, whats the catch?

These keys are probably what they call a batch ome key(s) they will activate and everything but say in 2 year's time you need to format your machine and reactivate it won't anymore. Happened to me with cheap win8 key. Good price just have to bare in mind it may no reactivate later.

Checked sellers rating and reviews... worth a try

"License for only ONE Computer, CAN be used on the same machine." Before installation you associate the key with your Microsoft account just like you would add a Xbox live voucher. It is then connected to your Microsoft account and can not be redeemed by anyone else. The benefit of this is that you can re-download on the same machine in future.

Worth a shot for less than £7

lol .. complete misinformation.

1. you do not need to tie a ms office product key with your "ms account"
2. in the eu, you can re-sell on an oem product key; there for it transferable to another machine
Edited by: "taras" 31st Jan

I bought the key for this yesterday and installed it last night with no problems. all seem to be working fine. it says I can reinstall on the same machine if needed.

is anyone else tired of seeing tonnes of the same/very similar deal?

I know a youngster who needs Word for college, unfortunately the college don't give out Word etc.

How do you download 32 bit MS Office to use the key on? How do you avoid associating it with your MS account (it says to "sign in")? I'm ordering this for a youngster who needs it (Word) on their laptop for college (the college don't provide any free versions)

Oh here we go again, these were posted yesterday

Yes sick and tired of these dodgy software deals - and seeing as they're like the plague on ebay we're in for a rough time. Spam these deals I say.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the Sainsbury's deal is a one year subscription, and I believe this is the full suite to keep forever, but won't get full updates.

I do want this it I'm not sure how much I trust the legitimacy of it...

I think 'reliable' would have been a better fitting word. ie will it keep functioning

Wonder if Microsoft have become aware of these "deals" because of the interest there getting on here? Can't see them sitting back and letting all this go without intervention.

I bought a few of these cheap keys a few months ago. worked fine for a while, then said they failed activation because they were unauthorised or something similar.

Now I use a free package called WPS office, which as far as I can tell is practically identical.

Do you have to put all your details in to get the free download?

Everyone here who has bought a key should post the last 5 digits of the key they were supplied with... lets see if any of them match.

I imagine they would keep an eye on these things, ebay used to pull lots of adverts for MS software that they deemed breaking some rule or another.... they seem to let these dodgy deals slide by though, presumably because it earns them money!

Is it? do we really believe many thousands of computers are getting scrapped that have the latest version of Office on them? - most sensible businesses would have an office licence that could be transferred from a scrapped PC to their new replacement.

You the type of person that pays the RRP for everything? To be honest, there are plenty of ways to get this for free, but at least if its only a few quid, you have a paper trail

OK you've totally convinced me that it's legit with that argument X)
I try to get a good price, of course, but clearly Office 2016 Pro for £7 vs Office 2016 Pro from Microsoft or another authorised retailer at £350+ is quite a difference that should set alarm bells ringing. I accept that people always want a bargain and are willing to risk a few quid.

How about you stop boring everyone and pay £350 for it then? I'd pay the £7 if I hadn't already downloaded it for free.

Your wrong. The same OP provided the same 2016 yesterday, a quick search and you will find it and the numerous comments about its legitimacy.
