It'll show as £59.99 on the website but when you view in the trolley it'll drop to £39.99.

I make no comment about the McAfee Total Protection that comes with it... (It's worthless in my opinion but some people may find it useful. I guess? Darn it, that is a comment isn't it. Sorry!)

Good price but McAfee is so bad that this would actually be a better deal without it lol.

Not the same tho.

I use 365, but mainly for the 6 terabytes of online backup you get with this.
You would be hard pushed to find that service for this price, and as a bonus you get office and all the mobile apps too.

There's always one
Don't forget that you can stack subscription codes up a maximum of five on your Microsoft account. So if you like the price do buy a couple of them and then add them one after the other to extend the subscription for the next few years to come.

What happens if I add another Office 365 for home subscription to my account?

That'll be fully workable but illegal. can be cancelled/deleted at any point.
Good price. Worth it just for the 6x 1TB cloud storage, everything else is a bonus.
Brilliant thanks a bargain
Thanks. My NUS office is coming to an end and it looks like there is no way of getting this through the new NUS site Totum.
One license code only, be careful
Edited by: "Amine1uk" 11th Sep
I reiterate it's six devices which means the license doesn't stack up for one user , you only get one license anyway so be careful

Well no, you purchased a pirate copy of Office - well done. Were you seeking a medal?

Yep, thanks, well aware of that. Already use it on multiple users/devices.
At this price it makes sense to stack up which I think can be done for up to 5 years.
You can share the subscription with any number of your family members, so long as you don't exceed the 6 device limit. You register the product to your own Microsoft account and then share it with other Microsoft accounts.
My mum, brother and I split the cost of the subscription.
I have it on my Laptop, desktop & tablet. My brother has it on laptop & desktop and my mum has it on her desktop. We all have this under our OWN Microsoft accounts and we all get the lovely OneDrive storage which comes with this product.

It's excellent at full price, amazing at £40 - grabbing another one myself, so I'm stacked back to 4yrs.
I bought office 360 from argos thinking that the licence will stack up for one user but it doesn't, it's six devices instead

You were short-changed 5 days, take it back
Im still on a stacked 5 devices sub. Few months ago i applied the 6 user one to this and they basically gave me the option to start new with 6 users or stay on 5 users but only have 6 months instead of 12
If you use O365 at work, ask your employer if you can use the home use program. Should be discounted considerably.

Yes unfortunately it doesn't work like that... you can buy a 1 licence (1 user) or 1 licence (6 users) - both only last 1 year.
Can't decide whether to do this £40/year for 1TB of OneDrive or buy a large HDD and attach to a raspberry pi and store it at my parents house for offsite backups, and use something like openVpn to connect to it
I sold the McAfee for £10 on eBay just yesterday, so definitely don't just chuck it in the bin
It says on the image 6 USERS. Each user can install it on up to 6 devices. This is the standard deal with Office 365. The price at Argos is AMAZING.

That's really rather sneaky of Microsoft. Can't see an obvious reason for them doing that other than from preventing code stacking.

No, this is incorrect. It is up to 6 users across 6 devices.
You can share your subscription with 5 other users and all 6 of you can install the product on a single device.
This is not 36 installations of Office for £40.

If you have a subscription you can buy this boxed product and add it - adds a year to your subscription.
For some reason, unknown to me, there are at least two people who thought that this was either "6 users for 1 year" or they could do "1 user for 6 years".
I really don't know how they reached that conclusion, however it's incorrect.
Office Home is for up to 6 users across 6 devices. You can share the subscription and each person you share the subscription with can install the product and gets 1TB of OneDrive storage.
After a year the subscription expires, Office drops to "read only" mode and you're given time to reduce your OneDrive storage. Or, you renew and keep the benefits.

You can always buy boxed and add it to the subscription.
I might be being really dumb but bear with me. I currently pay the £79.99 subscription (just stopped next month's recurring payment). Looking at argos this is identical to the one listed at £79.99...... what's the difference? Both say 6 users with 6 devices is this an error on the argos website?

6 users, each can install on unlimited devices (but each user can only be signed in to office on 5 devices at the same time).

Do you get 6 different outlook emails or just the one?
"and how much storage does that come with?"

None hopefully. I have a separate hard drive. All this myth about cloud storage means you are giving someone you don't know a copy of all your data on their "storage" hard drive. . You might as well leave your front door wide open and invite passers by to come and look at your personal property and copy it or nick it!

Depends on how you look at this - for me this is 1tb of storage for five people each that *also* includes the leading office software. I'm sure that WPS is fine if you are doing church newsletters or something.

This is simply wrong:

Subscribers can install Office on an unlimited number of devices—and be signed into their accounts on up to five of those devices at the same time.

Thanks OP. Just bought 5 to stack up and will flog the McAfee licences on Ebay

Buy 1 licence, either a single user licence or a 6 user licence - will give you 1 year of use (for 1 or 6 users).
Buy 2 licences, either a single user licence or a 6 user licence - will give you 2 years of use (for 1 or 6 users).- this is 'stacking' your licences.

and so on up to a max of 5 years (5 purchases of this product)

BUT buying 1 licence for 6 users and only using 1 user will still expire after 1 year, it does not give you another 5 years to use the remaining 5 users. You're buying a licence to use their software for 1 year period... if you choose to only use 1 device even though you have up to 6 devices to use, it's your bad luck.

edit v13.5 due to errors! sorry.

My understanding was that it was six licences instead of one to share between six users, I was wrong
