Those keys at cjs are mostly OEM generated and only last a few months at most before being invalidated by Microsoft.
Thank Op. Mine runs out soon so I was on the look out for a decently priced copy of Office 365.

I will be binning McAfee but the price is worth it for Office 365 alone.

I picked up two copies last year at the Microsoft Company Store in Redmond but picked up US only copies which refuse to work and MS won’t exchange them for UK one (we got the same discount MS staff got so it was only $15 for 12 months).

Also worth noting that if your company uses Office 365 then you may well be entitled to install it on your home PC, Mac or tablet but you need to use your works email address and you don’t get the 1 TB of personal storage space. Ditto if you have kids at school and they use it there.

I want to keep my home and work files completely segregated.

Cheers - Heated
£12 gets you office 2019 from cjs keys... And I wouldnt bother with mcaffee

Yes, there's a dashboard that you can monitor your subscription and you can assign the other licences too.

In addition you can also stack these to give you upto 5 years worth of access.

Or if you work for an organisation that already has office 365 you can sign in to the website with your work credentials and install office for free on upto 5 devices. Will work until you are working at that particular organisation.

Windows defender is good enough as anti virus - havent used a 3rd party one for years now

All of those cheap office and Windows licenses are throwing your money away. They're no more legal and legit than a pirated version.

Agreed. When McAfee is not slowing your system right down its trying to sell you something
Can I pay another £5 to have the mcafee taken off?

And can you prove that? Another person talking rubbish.
Been waiting for a deal like this. I don’t use the office applications all that much but this is great for cheap 1TB cloud storage! Heat added

They're called grey market software keys, very well known.

- They are either outright stolen, they're from other regions or they're education/bulk/OEM licenses that were never intended to be sold individually.
- They can be revoked. Keyword can, not will. Sometimes you'll get lucky. Sometimes you won't.

The key point though is that the grey market keys all break the license agreement with Microsoft in one way or another so they're no more legal than the version you can pirate for free. Hence, waste of money.

howtogeek.com/392…rk/

Just use some common sense. If a deal seems to good to be true, like 90%+ off software licenses, they probably are.

When i brought a licence from CD Keys for Office 2012 i had to verify it by using my email that i use for all my microsoft stuff if it was that case what you are saying why didn't MS refuse the code i am still using today from when it came out.
There may be some truth in what you are saying but even my windows 10 i brought the code from ebay and again is still working fine...My kaspersky antivirus i renew every year by buying a code from ebay and i have been doing it for about 7yrs now and still going strong.
I buy codes for my xbox and never had any trouble with so somewhere along the line they must be legal otherwise they would be stopped when registering them but again i have never been stopped.
If i am that lucky maybe i should start playing the lottery.

Flog it to some muggle on eBay lol
This is mega hot for a legit key. One year on MS's site is £79.99, the same price as on Argos without the virus software. Picked this up from Costco for £50 thinking that was great. Ordered one from Argos as I think they stack.
Cheapest it's ever been? Seriously considering going down the subscription route, the 1TB storage would be a bonus.

Could you potentially buy this and then gift the other 5 licences to friends/family?

I have no personal experience but if you look at reviews online of sites offering these licences it would be hard to disagree..this is a good deal for a copy that will definitely work for 12 months

Not tried myself but someone in a previous time this was on offer claimed so

The way it works is you assign the key to your e-mail address. You then sign into one of the office apps (not Windows) and then office will use the license. The other 5 licenses can be used by anyone as long as you sign them in with your account.

On the site where you first register your key it says you can stack up to 5 years. I'll be testing this when I pick up my key from Argos.

I think I get that, can't you also send out "invites" to other email addresses/MS accounts? I didn't think MS liked users sharing accounts as it were?
Good price for Microsoft office however if you’re only an occasional user you’re better off just using google docs.

It's been this price a few times over the last couple of years but usually £59.99 is the best price you'll find it.

Note that while is says 6 devices, I cannot use more than 5 signed in accounts at the same time. I don't quite get why they increased it from 5 to 6 devices but still limit 5 concurrent active users.

edit: to answer my own question
It seems six users, across all your devices and each user can be signed into five devices at the same time. Technically, that means an Office 365 Home customer could have 30 Home subscriptions running at the same time, with each user getting five signed-in devices.

I've not tried this out - has anyone?

No, the license is tied to one e-mail address. I think it is really meant for one "home" and the people who live there.

I bought a license from ebay 5 years ago for about £5. Still works to this day.

Remember the days you could buy Office and use it for years. None of this license expiry rubbbish. I agree that none of us have a time machine, im just in awe at how MS worked found a decent way to keep milking people and get forcing them to rebuy the same product year in / year out (effectively).

You still can buy it, Office 365 is just one option.
Cold. Free for students.
Got this last time, good offer.

Free for *some* students - but even then you’re tied to your organisation as the administrator (with access to your files) unless, ironically, your universe doesn’t have a 365 subscription.
Thank you Brutes, picked up 2 to stack.
I'm glad I bought a Office 2016 HUP License for around £11 back in 2016 about a week before I retired. They haven't cottoned on yet *coughs*
