Every so often this can be bought from Argos with McAffee for £39.99. If you don't need it urgently then could be worth waiting for it to drop again.

Given the price is about to go up when this turns into Microsoft 365 - might be worth stacking a couple?

Good to know you can stack, I'm ashamed to say I pay monthly for my subscription at full price, might buy a few of these instead.

It's not likely - it's happening - it was announced last week (or maybe week before?).

Depends what you use it for - I think of this as paying for 1TB of storage for six family members and they throw in office and other stuff - great value.

No my error - you are right - price the same. However given I already have it until 2024 - might as lock in another year at this low price.

Thanks, probably not for me, got an old laptop with 2016 office +NAS but most now done on IOS apps. I don’t mind buying a good app I’m going to use but usually avoid subscriptions.
Windows OS will probably go subscription soon as well.

Hmm. I'll gamble on it getting cheaper then, as all the shops flog off the "obsolete" office version in the old packaging.

Office 365 becoming Microsoft 365 is more about them competing with other companies. The retail price has always been 79 for a year, with discounts occasionally available. They haven't increased the price due to the name change and additional features, although it remains to be seen if the same discounts will be available from time to time. cnet.com/new…fe/

It's always up-to-date. You can buy dodgy lifetime keys off eBay which is probably similar to your 2016 key.

just whilst we have lots of onedrive users here - has anyone noticed that when they upload video it takes a while for onedrive to recognise it as video and allow it to be played. I uploaded a few short videos last night and couldn't see them play in onedrive until this morning - only noticed it last night and not previously

You can install on as many device as you like - each USER can then be logged into six devices at once or some number like that - Microsoft treats each user as if they are seperate people.
