Was that the 3 months Xbox Live for xx amount of points?

I'd imagine the points requirement would be significantally higher than that of a 3 month sub. You might be best to redeem at a 3:2 ratio (3 months = 2 months) with the standard Xbox Live Gold 3 month option.

Still subbed up using the £1 conversion a couple of months back so saving my points but I'm sure it must be coming eventually

Yeah, I'm up until December 2021, so I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'll just keep point hoarding until something comes up, hopefully at a reasonable cost.

3 months for 35000 points (level 2 discount) or 1 month for 12000.

Yes it was, in a far east region like Indonesia maybe.

Was that just after you'd redeem that you received the suspension? I did around 2 years doing the same method.

It was pretty soon after, yes.
Decisions, decisions! Tempted to redeem some points now and purchase Resident Evil 2.

But too many games coming out in next 2 months, Gears 5, Blair Witch, Outer Worlds all going straight onto game pass and Destiny 2 going F2P. Knowing my luck Res Evil will end up on game pass during that time.

This was ages ago, back in July 2018. The deal has since been deleted.

I used to be a very active Microsoft Rewards points collector using Bing. Had been doing it for 8 months without missing the daily deals. I then went on holiday to the Canary Islands and despite being logged into my account it would not allow me to collect points. When I got back to the UK I still had my points but it had started again from day one. I lost interest after that. I still use Bing but not so much.

Ms Rewards are only available in certain countries. You can’t blame MS if it’s prohibited by law in a territory.

You can can always use a vpn...
I've just bought 6 months of gold with mine, is it more cost effective to buy the gift card?

Huh, just checked and there's actually two, the hot deal one and the normal one. Strange

I don't have many points but just always use them up for the sweepstakes. Had a friend who won a gaming bundle so it does sometimes come your way......ok, unlikely but you just never know.

That's a bit odd... Give up entirely for the sake of losing what you gain after just 2 weeks, as I'm pretty sure that once you hit 2 weeks, you get 150 bonus for every week thereafter.

Yes, MS cards can be used on the MS and Xbox store but xbox cards can only be used on the Xbox store.

I got suspended too, but after a few months and a lot of begging on chat they re-instated me. I've behaved ever since, lesson learned.

There is a legitimate way around the 'going on holiday' scenario for MS Rewards.

Firstly, you can legitimately VPN / remote access to your PC at home, then browse from there (I actually VPN and remote desktop to my PC at work, and browse from there).

Secondly, if you browse abroad from your phone on WiFi, it doesn't allow you to access rewards, or your UK 'home' account.

However, if you have a UK SIM card (eg Vodafone, Three etc) and browse on roaming data you have a UK IP address from the carrier, so Rewards sees you as browsing from the UK and you access your UK home account. Also works if you hotspot from another device via WiFi to the roaming device.

So for instance from the EU or Three Go Roam destinations you can still access your Rewards account and keep your daily streaks and searches going. Absolutely PERFECT for the Three Data Reward SIM (200MB free data per month).

Using these methods, I managed to keep my 2 family accounts going and racking up search points while I was away a few times this year in different countries.

Same here
MS rewards are ok if you put the time in time but bear in mind today you're earning 24.2p for your effort. :P

Not quite true on gaining points abroad. I went to the States and gained points using the US MS rewards (more points). I did enquire before hand mind and they said it wouldn't be a problem. So assuming MS is in the country you are holidaying in, it shouldn't be a problem.

I bought this gift card last time it was discounted and it was automatically added to my account as credit. You cannot use this credit to buy other gift cards, but it does appear to allow the purchase of 'Game Pass for PC' subscriptions (I cannot make the purchase as I have a Game Pass Ultimate sub currently).

It’s a good shout about RE2 since 2 other recent Capcom games in MHW and DMC5 are on there!
