Microsoft Store £42 cashback on £59.99 Arc Bluetooth Mouse with TCB

Found 28th Oct 2015
I've been looking at the Microsoft Store on any deals regarding the latest devices and stumbled upon a hefty £42 of cashback for the Bluetooth Arc Touch Mouse and Wireless Display Adaptor through TopCashback.

These retail for £59 so the resultant spend is £17 which is really good, especially for the mouse. There are a few other cashback on other devices (Band, Office, Partner laptops) at lower amounts, however if anyone is interested is definitely worth a look.

Arc Mouse £59.99 - £42 = £17.99
Wireless Display £59.99 - £42 = £17.99

Also including other cashback for visibility:

Dell XPS 13 Laptop - Both Models - £252.20
Office 365 (Yearly Subscription) - £30.30 (student discount eligible)
Microsoft Band 1 - £20.20

Update: Cashback now tracks at £40.40 for mouse and adaptor

Shown as £40.40 cashback to me? Also the mouse is £59.99.

Nice find OP. Also 10% off for students I believe and various levels of Quidco cashback available depending on what you purchase

It's Topcashback not quidco.

Beware, this mouse won't work with PC with Win7. Only with Win8 or 10.

Does it work with Mac? Thanks.

dam, wish I picked this up in Tesco when it was £20 instead of walking past it.

It should work because it uses Bluetooth and driver would install automatically to work - both Windows and Mac (not sure on this one but no reason not to).

Unfortunately it won't. I wanted to buy it to use with Win7 PC but I found couple of posts online of people complaining that it doesn't work with it. Microsoft also specifies that it will work only with Win8 or Win10.

Why not upgrade to Windows 10 for free? Been using it and is a great fusion of both 7 and 8. easy to install and not had any problems upgrading either.

Mine is tracking at £0.50p! Wtf. TCB won't even look at this until after the 12th of December either. I'm just going to cancel the order i think, no way am i paying £60 for a HDMI adapter.

hmmm the risk / reward ratio isn't quite right on this one!

PS isn't the real deal here the Dell XPS 13 deal?

I got this for £33 plus cash back through Bespoke Offers.

Arc mouse is a great travel mouse. This version is even more Surface coloured then the Surface Edition. Surface edition Arc mouse was black to match Pro 1 & 2.

It only works with Win 8 and upwards. You also need Bluetooth 4.0. I originally bought this at £29.99 only to find it wouldn't work with my Win 7 PC with BT 3.0. I upgraded my laptop to Win 10 and bought a USB BT 4.0 dongle just for the mouse ... and can say that it was totally worth it. It is an awesome design and very responsive on all surfaces.

It's a steal at £17.99

How likely is the cashback to track on these MS deals?

this may look cool but will never give you the WOW factor on your desktop as opposed to a Death Adder!

Not really. It was ages ago. Couple of quid here and there no big deal. Good deal for others though.

Ordered the WiDi adaptor. Thanks for the heads up

I think Microsoft is quite reliable and TCB are usually pretty decent. As with any cashback it is not 100% but I would say it is pretty close to it.

Think it is the 'old' XPS 13 9343 and not the 'new' XPS 13 9350, so may not be as good a price as initially thought?

It is a nice deal, but Microsoft only has the old gen infinity display xps 13 and 250£ cashback is maybe too big a gamble for me.

I am pretty sure you will be able to pick one up for about the same some time soon without cashback.

For me TCB is great as I can transfer to clubcard and then double it. But 250£ would take 5 years to convert and even then it is not possible as you can't split large transactions.

I'm guessing the reason why my TCB didn't go through properly is because Microsofts website error'd upon sign in. I refreshed and it worked after, but seeing as other people don't seem to be having a problem i can only guess TCB will honour the deal?

There have been a few cashback deals which state that they will initially track at a lower amount until confirmed by the merchant, but I can't see this mentioned in the Microsoft T&Cs. I wouldn't worry, but I have taken a screen grab just in case. TCB have been pretty good in my experience - a few months ago Gala Bingo stiffed alot of people by pulling their £30 cashback offer, and TCB offered to pay the cashback whilst they argued with Gala.

Sometimes it tracks lower initially then gets amended correctly at confirmation, I believe. I've seen similar mentioned on other threads

Thanks OP

What XPS deal?

Microsoft give 30 days after delivery for returns anyway so i'm not too worried.

My cashback at topcashback.co.uk is showing as pending: Microsoft Store £0.50 - hopefully this gets corrected soon.

By the look of it, the Plus membership adds 5% to any cashback. That's probably it?

These things are terrible but heat anyway because of the saving.

No not really, Direct X 12 is the future so an upgrade to Windows 10 is a good move for gamers and non gamers

Would be nice if it worked. TCB only gave me 50p back, so I cancelled the order.

That's the way of CORPORATE GREED they STOP providing any support so they can introduce new programs and new hardware that are no longer backward compatible and then ALL the websites in the same cartel lock out all the older software so you have to give in BUY NEW and help GROW THE LANDFILL PROBLEM.
