MICROSOFT Surface Book - Intel® Core™ i5-6300U Processor 8GB RAM 128GB SSD 13.5" Ultra HD PixelSense Touchscreen Windows 10 Pro - Silver

These Microsoft Surface Pro Books are ( Cabinet Display ) Ex Demo units from a major retailer and in immaculate ( A+ Grade ) like new condition with no signs of use but may have a VERY minor buff or scuff on the casing due to handling. The unit will be supplied in its original retail packaging or will have been professionally plain boxed. The units carry a 3 Months Warranty for Peace of Mind.

£50 more expensive that earlier, but still cheaper than elsewhere.

How much are these usually?
20 Dollar. 20 Dollar....
I will trade one goat and a rabbit.
This is a hot price, but surely the battery will be fried if it's ex-display?

Same site is selling another one for £949 but I think it is the same model. I dont see what the difference is. Hard to get this model as there is a newer version but they are about £1500

That's super hot - I've just ordered one. Seeing how easy it is to replace the SSD now - hopefully it's NVMe and not soldered on but then again I can live with 128GB on a laptop.

Wondering if I should just get rid of both my old tablet and laptop as this is basically a 2-in-1 so should be able to replace both? Anyone done the switch before from laptop + tablet to a 2-in-1?

Been after one of these for a while and almost bought an ex display one from John Lewis for 850 so have bitten their hand off at this price.
Heat! Good price

You can't replace the SSD in this unless you fancy un-gluing the display glass. I don't think it's as good as a hybrid device but that's just me, personally I'd keep my tablet though as this is closer to a laptop. I had issues with a bending chassis caused by the gap when you close it.
This is a great laptop with stocking battery life. Use mine daily same spec and easily get a day out of it (development work)
OOS now
Out of stock already.
Just missed out...... out of stock

Yeah didn't think about it, the SSD would be in the tablet. That's fine really.

Never really tried a Windows tablet really so I probs should keep my tablet too. What happened with the chassis in the end?

I sent it back. Tons of issues with the tablet part bending if you look on Google, though mine was with the keyboard part. I didn't apply any abnormal pressure to it - it had been in a laptop bag and the place it bent was near the SD slot where the metal is thinner. As it was the second Surface Book I bought I sent it back and wouldn't have one again. Build quality is appalling, though if you want a futuristic/concept device and can overlook the other issues (like the screen not undocking or getting stuck halfway), this thing takes some beating.

Yikes that doesn't sound good at all! I'm more of a phone or desktop guy but I wouldn't want the surface book being bent after taking it around in a bag a few times!

I've carried my surface book around with me for over a year on a daily basis. No case, just in a compartment in my bag and I've not had one single problem. There are inevitably people who mistreat things and want to blame everyone else or make a fuss but the gap in between the laptop isn't an issue unless you plan to sit on it.

The only issue I've had is having to replace the pen nib because I dropped it several times and it ended up cracking.

Stonking deal though. By far and away the cheapest I've seen this.
Anyone get the order confirmation email ? I dug it out of my Gmail spam bin but interestingly it shows nothing but my address and the shipping method. No mention of the item at all. **edit** they emailed a proper invoice over this morning and said they will dispatch Monday

Typical! Want a Surface Book but can't justify Book 2 prices - plus want the pen without paying extra for it. Missed out...again! Have been trying to decide between a Surface Book 256GB i5 or i7 (6th gen) or a new HP Envy i5 or i7 (7th gen) which has the advantage of the newer processor, still 8GB RAM but with a 360GB drive plus the dedicated graphics - cheaper but for some reason I'm drawn to the Surface....

...any advice appreciated!
Good price, I got this one off fleabay for £649 - immaculate although without a pen which cost me another £90. I think its a brilliant piece of kit - love the hello face recognition, plenty quick enough for me although I use it almost exclusively in laptop mode.

Was yours used or new? I'm not sure whether to go Surface Book or HP Envy? Something is drawing me (not just the pen!) towards the Surface...more money for older kit, but they do look great!
Mine was used, but it was immaculate with no dings or scratches. Couldn't justify the £1800 on surface book 2 and spent ages in JL holding an using the dell xps, hp 360 and MacBooks. Surface book does it all for me and the first gens can be had for reasonable money now

Mine too. All good now. Cheers
Interestingly I see they have another listed, exact same spec and description of it being ex display but being A+ condition but different sku code and being £350 more.
Mine just arrived. Box quite definitely used but the unit itself absolutely immaculate If it's been used I can't see any signs of it. Very happy, thanks OP
Got mine today. Can't fault it. No marks. It was A+ condition too but at the lower price. Not sure what that higher priced, exactly the same model was about. So far, very happy.

Box was a bit damaged but Surface in excellent condition.
Just a heads up to those that bought and might be seeing the same problems as me . I was getting all sorts of weird graphics anomalies, the screen and system would freeze for a second now and then. Tried all the updates and driver patches etc and nothing helped. Last resort before sending it back was to reinstall windows and apply the driver pack from MS. This has cured it.

So far no issues. Thanks for the heads up

Worked for me, but OOS. No idea how many they had back in stock, 1,2?

Thx for this, how easy was it to reinstall Windows? Is there an online guide?

Windows 10 has a Reset option in the settings. It has several options and very useful for refreshing troubled installs. Very easy
Did you guys get a surface pen with yours?

Getting really worried, when I ordered it said it did have the pen, but now the website has been edited to say PEN NOT INCLUDED multiple times.

Surely that’s not allowed to change the specification AFTER you’ve ordered ?!

Looking at the google cache it says that the book, charger and pen is included. Would be really bad if they not only increase the price by £50 and then remove the pen!

These are back in stock just a shame they don't have the pen with it or the models with dGPU aren't more reasonably priced. Only 3 months warranty is a deal breaker for me.
