Is this the one with the updated GPU?
A horrible machine.

I had 3 in quick succession, persevered with the third for 9 months in the vain hope Microsoft would release one of their many firmware updates that actually addressed the myriad of problems...

Got a full refund from good old John Lewis in the end.

Well I "tried" to use mine as a replacement main computer (as trumpeted by MS).

Constantly dropping USB was the main one - I had the Surface Dock (which thankfully I got for free as that is) another overpriced POS. You could be writing stuff to an external drive and it would randomly disconnect it. Perfectly working pieces of equipment (self powered not bus powered as the USB bus is woefully underpowered on the Book) would be fine on ANY other machine (and working in I.T. I have access to a LOT of other machines).

A mountain of other stuff too - the thing gets real close to TJ Max of 100c when pushing it (or some would say doing normal things like encoding video etc etc) so much so that it was unbearable to hold the clipboard portion it was so hot.

Scaling issues also drove me crazy - had it connected to a 1440p monitor, no problem with any other device.

Just check Google - MS will say they have fixed a lot of problems - I can assure you they haven't, the machine is just not fit for purpose.

Luckily I got mine from John Lewis - can't imagine Currys would be so entertaining when people realise it's not all its cracked up to be 9 months down the line...

oh right doesn't sound great! yeah I really do thing for what they are, extremely overpriced... like all these things now. e.g. my Msi laptop has far better specs and was on about £100 more. I know it's not the same thing but cmon, these specs for this price is ridiculous. I blame apple for this really.
