I bought it for £1099 from John Lewis a week ago, luckily noticed they reduced the price today, called customer service, they refunded me the difference, though wouldn't give me the 3rd yr guarantee, oh well... Hey ho

Even if it's OOS , I hope that info is useful for customers who bought like i did.
great price. struggling to not buy one at this price, but if a newer version dropped as rumoured in April.....

Awesome machines.

I beg to differ.

I'd steer clear of these if you want to use it as your main computer...

True, the rumour is the Book 2 will not be a 2-in-1 but a standard clamshell design. If you want detatchable you might have to buy a Book 1.

Do you own one? I do....
I own one, bought it from John lewis. It went wrong after 6 weeks, JL sent it to Microsoft for repairs and they sent me a refurb In the old box I sent it in so serial numbers don't match with box. Now in talks with John Lewis to give me a brand new unit.

What was wrong with your unit?

Good luck with getting a new replacement

If you had actually bothered to take the time to click on the two links in my post then you would have seen that I have owned 3 of them over 9 months...

The error was something like unable to locate boot drive. So I went to install Windows from fresh but it couldn't see the ssd at all.

This happened while just browsing the web, then it froze and ended in a boot loop.

Replacement took 3 weeks. That works fine but it has marks on the casing near the charging port and some backlight bleed that my original unit did not have.

Not happy as I bought the laptop and at the end of January 2017. I should have been given a brand new replacement if my original unit could not have been repaired.

Do you think I'm being unreasonable ?
