sorted byI absolutely recommend the touchscreen, you'll use it far more than you realise. I would also say that the surface line of products has a quality that other laptops don't seem to have. My next purchase will be a surface something.
Apart from obvious specs, the main difference would be material quality, battery life and screen, I suppose. D14 also has a metallic body except for hinges and the build quality seems well. Battery life seems similar for both. But Surface has a touchscreen and higher brightness. D14's screen is not bad, though. I feel like going through D14 due to better specs and better price.
I have another model of VivoBook. The screen and keyboard is shocking, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone
Hey! Mine was the OG, 2015 i5-6300 256GB
That's about all I know lol. I know some have the performance base, but mine doest not. I have found chrome to be an absolute hog for resources and mine runs so much better using edge!
I think the laptop will be my next upgrade, the tablet is hardly disconnected for me. It's a little bit too big
Absolutely either then.
If you want something more portable, go for Surface Pro - I also bring mine on holiday and useful when looking for things to do whilst you're on holiday, movies on the plane etc. Even the screen sizes are similar.
If you want a traditional laptop, go for the Laptop 4.
Surface Pro 8 with the accessories and same specs would cost twice as much. It's not the most comfortable tablet either because of its size; it works for me because of my job but I still ended up buying an iPad mini for daily tablet stuff. If you're not fussed about having a 2 in 1, the laptop is a good call.
Hope it was useful for someone
Depends on what your need are. Performance wise they will be similar - if you get the same specc'd version.
Usual browsing, word etc, I do some photoshop as well (only for my own use not commercial) the grandkids play some games nothing too heavy
Which surface did you buy? Just bought a refurbished surface book 3 from eBay but it seems quite laggy when disconnected from the base, is that normal?
Been using a surface laptop 3 for a year and it's absolutely fantastic, best laptop I've ever used
Matebook D 14 i7 16GB ? On paper feels like the matebook is better.
