Seems to be cheapest price it's been. I appreciate the specs won't be suitable for the power hungry users, but for basic home use it's more than adequate.

Microsoft Surface Pro 12.3-Inch PixelSense Tablet PC (Silver) with Black Type Cover - (Intel 7th Gen Core m3-7Y30 2.6GHz, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 615, 2017 Model, Windows 10 Pro)

You can always, always tell the people who comment based on the numbers alone, and you can tell them apart from those who have actual experience of the Surface Pro devices.

This has been hotter of late, but time machines don't exist. As such, this is a good price for a great device. Hot.

With a docking station this can replace a basic users desktop and removes the need for a laptop. I have a non Pro Surface 3 and its leagues ahead of regular tablet, always amuses me when the wife has to borrow my Surface as she cant run something on her iPad Mini.
Just incase it catches anyone out, this is the cheaper m3 processor and not the i5 of the recent deals.

what exactly do you class as basic users? a decent tab like a galaxy tab s3 cost about 600 and that's not including the keyboard. I was gunna get 1 for development but after reading the comments here about the SP4 I started looking into them and quickly realized it made no sense to fork out that kinda cash when I could pay an extra 30quid for a surface. It does everything the S3 does and more and comes with a really decent keyboard and is just so much better.
Specs are not great for the money. Mobile cpu 4gb ram and over 600 quid. For basic browsing is it really worth the price? Just get a decent netbook or something.

This Asus laptop is far superior amazon.co.uk/gp/…rch
I’ve got one of these for work, good for the most part but I’m on my second one in a year

That's not even a touchscreen. And only 1080p. Apples and oranges.

At least you get good returns with amazon. I’ve been through 3 warranty replacements and now just got a full refund. I’m giving up until the next iteration.
I bought one of these last time it was on offer and have to say its a great piece of kit.

The hardware is high quality and has some really good features - worth every penny

I took the kids to the zoo at the weekend and was surprised to see all the chimpanzees had surface pro's, so I asked the zoo keeper "why the hell do they all have surface pro's", he said the chimps can only manage basic browsing so they where ideal, I'm not sure that was the truth though, someone else told me they kept ripping the keyboards off the laptops.

Crap battery life, no touchscreen as far as I can tell?

It's a nice laptop, but different use cases. I wanted a 2-in-1 that's ultra portable with reasonable battery life. And you can do plenty more than basic browsing on core m and 4GB.
Awful QC on this. The two I had, had terrible backlight bleed you’d expect on a sub-£100 tablet (I have photos if anyone is bothered). Amazon took both back. Also nearly impossible to fix down the line, I believe iFixit gave it a -1 for repairability because it’s glued shut with No More Nails (or similar) and people joke about Apple.

Still using my Surface Pro 3, at least it works and runs well.
128 GB... 95 left for the user maybe? I can fill up that space in a week...
My surface pro on the same processor works really well. Battery life is not iPad-class but performance is decent. There is a microsd slot for extra space and you can hook up usb3 hard drives as well. Struggles with games but everything else is ok. Heat!
