me either.. is there a code?
You have to go to the 'used...' link (under the price) and then you see the Amazon warehouse deal with the 20% off
So this is for a used one, not new

Amazing deal
Link updated for everyone
Was looking at ordering one of these last night at £699 for a new one, so glad I didn't and I decided to check on here this morning. Not the most powerful device but for general use, email, web browsing, word processing etc it should be perfectly fine, shame there's such a big difference in price for the i5 version especially when you have to add another £100 or so for the keyboard.

For those who don't get the discount applied:
On the Surface Pro page you should see the price listed at £699
Scroll down and click where it says 'New and Used'
In the list click the option you want which shows 'Amazon warehouse deals', there are several prices available depending on whether you want New, Used - Like New, Used - Good. I opted for the Like New as it's only another £15.08 after discount.
Add it to your basket, go through all the usual bits, choosing delivery address, payment method etc and on the very last screen before you confirm the order it'll show you the discount applied - I paid £483.83 down from £604.79.

Damaged/marked items = No thanks.

Reasonable price for brand new item though.
Hi - anyone know what the warranty is on the used models?

Good price. I wouldn’t get another Surface however as I’m not getting on with the 2016 Surface I already have. I expected a premium product more on par with the likes of Apple, especially for the price tag, but after a year of use it starts to feel cheap and Windows does what it always does and ends up slow, sluggish and problematic. Nothing is linked to your phone such as browser history, email and messaging etc and everything just takes longer. After owning even an older Mac it just feels like a step backwards. The screen is extremely fragile and expensive to replace and the battery life is frankly a joke. I switched to Microsoft for the touchscreen but after craving a touchscreen desktop experience badly enough to switch, I barely ever find myself using the touchscreen and all the while I have to live with a far inferior touchpad. When I feel I’ve had my money’s worth from the Surface, and I doubt I ever will, I’ll give it away to a family member and go back to a Mac.
Thanks OP, I was looking at a Surface Pro 4 to upgrade from the 3 but this will do just fine.

Worth noting that the Surface Pro doesn't come with a pen any more, may not bother everyone (or me) but will be an issue for some.

Prefer the Surface Pro to the Book which has chassis issues (very bendy without effort...).

Amazon Warehouse has taken stuff back from me after over 6 months, maybe it depends on your account but given the amount we spent with them, have never really had a fight over anything...
Edited by: "plewis00" 19th Mar
My experience with amazon warehouse has been good. Returned a surface pro 4 after 5 months as went faulty - no issues. The SP4 has a 25% failure rate - this new one is supposed to be better though. Shame the pen is another £100. I’ve ended up with an iPad Pro for my hand written notes which is a far nicer experience.
The link to the used item gave me the discount at the checkout. Provided you get the Amazon warranty, that's scorching. Yes, the pen will be extra.

Regarding reliability, I skipped the SP4, and moved from the SP3 to the SP 2017. Both working well.
Wanna say this is a good deal but theyre too unreliable for me.

Managed to snag the new one with i7, 256/8GB for £812 a few months ago. Came brand new and unregistered so must've been a customer return. Although new, slightly disappointed with the battery as only does about 6-8 hours rather than the 10+ hours MS advertise. That's just internet browsing, a little MS office etc. However, a fantastic product esp now it's fanless with the new models.

Also snagged a pen for £22 a few weeks ago off the warehouse and these do become available every so often - there were 3 or 4 available when I bought one. If anyone is after the pen, keep a tab open for the warehouse and check every so often.

Good price for the pen! - that was the new one yeah? How’s the tilt functionality? A lot of people I’ve spoken to have said they’ve had to turn it off because of jitter. Yeah the battery life is a shame, other than screen issues it was the biggest let down of the SP4. I need 8 hours of screen time without charging and my iPad can manage that easily. I would love to return to the surface line but need a better hand writing experience (away from onenote preferably) and constant 8 hour battery with net browsing, a bit of video and hand writing notes all day.

I haven't used the pen - I bought it for the missus as she uses that all day long and everything seems well for her. She would've moaned otherwise But yes, that's the good thing about the iPad and it's battery which I think is a massive selling point (haven't used an iPad in years but understand how good they are despite the cost). I think you'd be struggling to get 8 hours screen time with the new model which is a shame. My XPS 13 I got recently lasts double the time (about 14 hours or so). Ok, it's not a tablet but finding that more useful than going around with the surface, esp since I don't want to be taking the power brick when away for a day or two with work.

As I said, if anyone's after the pen, keep an eye out on the warehouse page as they do become available for silly low prices. I also bought an Italian kb which is QWERTY but some keys are slightly changed such as # ; { keys etc. You can make it UK layout though. Got one brand new on ebay for £20ish from an established seller.

I've used the SP3 pen and the 2017 SP pen, and while they are both great, the new pen is phenomenal by comparison.

I suspect they mean on Mac OS (handoff) or Chrome (sync, everything syncs seamlessly between devices. But with Microsoft it’s just one big mess. I can attest to that but it’s not a dealbreaker for me.
Got my Surface Pro today.

Worst light bleed I've ever seen on a tablet... as in, worse than cheap 'Cloudbooks'. I am so sick and tired of Microsoft producing utter rubbish, they don't seem to have any concept of quality control. I thought it was just a gradient on the setup screens but on opening the on-screen keyboard, it's so obvious I will never be able to use that.

I am so disappointed with this. What a total waste of money... will post photos if anyone is interested, just let me know.

Are they all like that you think? Or is that why that one was sent back to amazon and became a warehouse item?

Probably fine. My dad ordered one to my office and I had a look at his. It had minor light bleed but not as bad as mine and probably ‘ok’:

Mine was terrible - I mean I would expect it from a cheap Linx tablet but I have Linx tablets and they are way better than this. I am sure it was why mine was returned, no way would I keep that if I’d bought it new and I’m not keeping it now.

I’m done with the Surfaces now, Microsoft has proven continually they can’t make good hardware so I’m voting with my feet. I’m both disappointed and annoyed at having my time wasted (there is no way it was inspected at the warehouse before being resold)...

I hear you. 2 of my SP4s failed so moved to an iPad Pro 12.9 as I need decent handwriting. Then the SP2017 was released and I was hoping all the issues were sorted. Obviously not. I think I’ll skip this version too then.

I still have my Surface Pro 3 and that was the last tablet that was made properly that I kept. I had an iPad Pro 12.9 but it feels so much tailored to media consumption. I did read up on the SP 2017 and people have complained about light bleed so it's not just me.
Daaaah wish I'd seen this superb offer! Thanks for sharing tho

Well I ended up risking a warehouse deal for a SP 2017. Here’s the light bleed, not sure if I’m going to keep it yet.

That looks worse than mine. I would send it back same day. That’s dreadful from a premium tablet... people wouldn’t accept that from the cheap Linx tablets from Tesco!

To be fair during normal use I can barely notice it though, the task bar covers it and looks fine. Once it’s updated I’ll try some Netflix etc to see how it looks. I did pay a lot for it too (£1000) but it’s a decent spec. At least amazon does have a decent returns policy!

That’s fair enough but this isn’t a little thing on a low cost device. To me I don’t see the light bleed on the taskbar but when the virtual keyboard is up it’s blindingly and annoyingly obvious. I don’t think it’s picky, I just think Microsoft keeps dropping the ball and thinking it’s ok. Yes, Amazon has good customer service but MS’s is terrible.

On the plus side the battery shows no degradation and it’s showing 18 months MS warranty (plus I’ve got amazon support too). It’s pretty quick though - i7/16gb/1tb and I can’t find anything as good lookin around. Windows 10 is STILL updating!!!
To anyone still reading, I returned my other Surface Pro today, light bleed wasn't as bad but still unacceptable and Microsoft were really blase about it. Doesn't feel like it's built to last so don't fancy the gamble. The other issue is it doesn't offer a lot over my Surface Pro 3 either.
