I'll give it heat.

I'm a power iPad user.... but I was lucky to get a Surface Pro 3 when the price dropped after the introduction of SP4.

I rate these version of the Surface Pro pretty highly, I'd have to say. They're not for everyone... They're not as nimble as iPad.. They're not as utilitarian-friendly as an ultra book... but they're a great compromise.

Using my SP4 right now. Got my ipad for surfing and this for when I need to do proper work.

Now all I need to do, is convince myself to do some bloody work....

lol. I'm the same as you only I'm using the iPad right now instead. Quite funny really as I expected to enjoy this more due to it suiting my needs better for work stuff but the iPad just happens to be handier, lighter and easier to hold/carry so it's the first thing I pick up to do my everyday stuff. Maybe I will finally get round to doing some work on the Surface Pro 4 when I get the keyboard. lol

Oh yeah, you definitely need the keyboard! Kills me that they don't include one and charge as much as they do for one. Having to add an extra ~£100 to the price though. urgh! It delayed my purchase by well over a year until I was able to get a great deal on one. With the ageing Macbook lineup and improvement with Win10 they could be really eating into Apples market, but alas no, just like Google and their Nexus devices, they seem to like snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
