    These are SLOW unusable with things like teams

    I have used mine with Teams and it worked well :-). Even running Windows 11... I use mine mostly for internet stuff but I can still play older games such as Supreme Commander

    The mains chargers for these are £120 from Microsoft so if the one that comes with this is genuine it seems like a decent deal. Shame no keyboard though. The battery on mine lasted 3 years or so. Now I get less than an hour out of it but fine when plugged in.

    We've bought compatible chargers in the past, much cheaper than original, but they cause issues with touch and stylus detection on the Surface Pro 4.

    The battery in my Pro 4 died within a few years, far quicker than other laptops that I have used. This article also highlights the issue with Surface Pro batteries:

    If this is indeed "never used", it may not make any difference if the battery is knackered anyway!

    I purchased one of these last year from a bulk seller on ebay. It was £180 immaculate and included the keyboard, stylus and official power supply.

    Windows 10 was awful, slow and it became very hot.

    Updated to Windows 11 (whilst not officially supported by Microsoft) it was easy enough to install and it resolved all the issues I was facing.

    I don't use it for Teams so can't comment on being an issue but for daily web browsing, streaming sky go, email and office apps I haven't had any issues with it.

    Face recognition works well on Windows 11.

    I normally use it plugged in to a power source and an external screen, so don't suffer with battery life. The odd occasion when I've given it to the kids to watch Netflix/iPlayer, it's easily coped with a few hours without power.

    Maybe look at bulk seller on ebay that includes all the accessories and a 12 months warranty for £40/50 less. (edited)

    I think I bought off the same crowd , I don’t have any issues with windows 10 but my work on it not demanding but after hearing but upgrade to 11 I must do the same

    I had this for a long time, maybe bought in 2016 , and it served me well.
    It developed the battery problem in 2020, the screen came off on the left.

    I tried to replace the battery just a few days ago and the screen got shattered. Well that's the end of it..

    These are pretty unreliable and have well documented firmware and screen issues, we wrote off 2500 a year early at work as they were so unreliable. I hated mine, worst machine I've used, even basic stuff and the firmware and driver clashes would make it run ati 100% CPU and crawl most the time.

    ANother deal went hot on these the other day. It said 80% battery life, people were saying it held no charge at all.

    Avoid. Not worth it.
