Almost £100 cheaper than anywhere else. Must be clearing room for the new Surface Pro.

Shame it's not bundled with a keyboard case.

Still waiting for an 8gb version to drop in price alas
Is it worth getting this or waiting for a keyboard bundle deal coming up?

I would wait - it's over £600 just for the tablet portion of this - being a surface pro 4 owner myself, the product is lacking without the type cover. They advertise this as a "tablet/laptop" hybrid, but Microsoft tablets are way behind the competition in terms of android tablets and ipads. (If you look at the reveal for the new surface pro 2017 model, they don't even mention it as a tablet, and advetise it as a laptop, despite the hyrbid nature of it) Also, if you intend to do any gaming on this, get an 8gb minimum, preferably i7 model. If you do go for this, however, you can get second hand type covers at CeX for just under £60 last time I checked.

No worries! Once the Surface 2017 gets released there's bound to be an influx of people wanting to upgrade and thus, selling their Surface Pro 4's. I got mine second hand (i7 8gb model with 256 SSD) from eBay and the guy included the surface pen, type cover, mini display to HDMI adaptor and HDMI cable all for £625 - he even offered to put in windows office for me which you would need to purchase separately if buying brand new. Good for playing games like Overwatch on it. Granted I drove about 2 hours away, met the guy in person and paid cash, hence the cheaper price as he didn't need to pay ebay/paypal fees then.

Well, yes? Of Course it's £600+ for the "tablet portion". I mean i wouldn't exactly say they're behind, Windows hybrids are a totally different kettle of fish to their mobile counterparts. For one, they don't rely on apps being specifically made for them, they have the power of simply using what are already out there.

In fact, it's quite the opposite. Microsoft are demonstrating really what a tablet should be in 2016/2017 and onwards. Back when we had the year of the tablets, mobile devices were good but now we're at a point where, why can't we have a full blown OS on a tablet? I loved my iPad and my Android tablets and I'm going to be buying a new iPad at some point but it's just getting tiresome now.

I bought a cheap little £40 Windows tablet and I was stunned at how much more I could do on it vs my iPad and even my Android tablet I had previous. I was able to simply load up existing .exe files without searching or being disappointed by the lack of mobile support (Photoshop).

Even Samsuck are showing potential with their mobile dock. Times are changing and both Google and Apple need to move along. I'm a fan of all three companies but only Microsoft imo are showing how the tablet is going to be moving along.

Coming from a OnePlus user with an iMac running Windows 10, before you jump to the "Biosed" bandwagon.

Well..just to play devils advocate, you can be an owner of several platforms and still be biased..as arguably you can be a certain race and still be racist against your race

I mean sure you can, I was just pointing out that I've owned and used said products to prevent people jumping to conclusions I judge without buying.
I'd advise anyone to hold off buying a Surface Pro 4 for a little while. With the 2017 Surface Pro (dropped the numbering !?!) out shortly, there will be a lot of movement on Surface Pro 4 pricing.

The EAN code says: '889842014006', which is the M3 cpu model, not the i5 model. I was going to ask Argos about this but see they have answered another customer's query:-

'Hi,

The processor for this is an i5, apologies for the misleading specification details on our website. It refers to another similar product.

Thank you for using Argos Q&A'
Price now £729

well the 2017 model is almost twice the price of Pro 4 in every version.
and minus the stylus pen.
+ minimal CPU improvement.
so I'm not sure Pro 4s will drop more than this.
