Problem with these is the battery, they are quite old now, so battery might not be in the best shape and its not cheap to get it replaced. otherwise the suface pro are a good option

Really good luck with changing the battery on one of these. I mean really really good luck with that might cost you a screen replacement as well.

For anyone buying this, I’d bought a SP4 from a previous deal on here, and super happy with it.
I’d set up a discussion about art packages, gaming, helpful info etc for others that bought a SP so posting link here if it helps

And I can second that as I bought one too from a previous deal and even though it’s still going strong I am tempted to buy this too , I
Wonder is their much difference between the 4 and the 5

Really good offer. Folk should make themselves aware that battery replacement in a Surface Pro is not easy and can be expensive.

So if you buy one of these, check the battery life straight away, as it’s not covered under the sellers 12mth warranty.

How'd you go about checking the 'health state', of the batteries, in these sort of thing's, or whatever?

    Thanx.

My Surface Pro 4 touchscreen went haywire, costs about £150 to fix minimum. Had to disable the touchscreen and have been using it pretty much as a laptop ever since. Soon as I saw this I had to buy it, it's a no brainer as its the same price as getting my SP4 fixed plus I'll benefit from a newer processor and 8gb of ram as appose to 4gb. Good find OP

Tempted to get this as an alternative to a Samsung A8. Could a Powerbank charge it on the go?!

Pretty good deal. SP5's don't have as many issues as previous models. I would probably still get a SP6 because of the performance of 8th gen or even something like the Lenovo Miix as they are cheaper.

What's your thoughts on those Dell Venue Pro, Windows 10 tablet's?

    Thsnx.

I keep debating one of these for diagnostic machine but I'm still pleasantly surprised with the Lenovo tab 10 for £50 that pops up time to time. That little celeron sure gets up and goes when needs be never had a issue

On the microsoft site it doesnt list the Intel Core i5-7300U 2.60GHz as windows 11 compatible, but there is an option to get this with windows 11 installed ?

W11 works on most laptops with a 7th gen+ processor, it just isn't officially supported

I'm looking for something more portable then my msi modern and this may look to fit the bill. Will the i5 7th gen in this perform around aswell as the i3-1115G4 in my current laptop?
    CPatrikC's avatar
This would be about 40% slower than your current cpu

This is great for kids homework etc. At this price you cant beat it.

Earlier i had purchased pro2 for my two kids, added keyboard and mouse on my own. Doing fine for nearly a year now.

Anyone know what the speakers are like? wife needs a half decent tab for the house for netflix and the occasional bit of browsing
    Deal__Hunter's avatar
Go for the Samsung Tab A8 or S6 lite if that's the case. Slightly smaller screen but perfect for media, netflix and browsing. I've got the S6 lite, can't fault it. The speakers are pretty decent too. (edited)

    Looks thick
    amour3k's avatar
    It's a whole computer/laptop/tablet, thingy. :-D

A certain 'thickness', should of course, be expected, or whatever? ;-)

But no, it's not really that thing - in relation to that of what it actually is, etc? :-D

Well, from what I've personally noticed of Surface Pro 6, 7, 8 ...
