AO have the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 (i5 / 8GB / 256GB) with plain Black Type Cover bundle for £829 (when using their LAPTOP50 voucher).

The Surface Pro 7 is due at the end of this month, so Surface Pro 6 stock is discounted, but this seems to the cheapest deal at the moment. John Lewis have a bundle at around £850 (which comes with their 2 year warranty) - but the Type Cover in that bundle is not to everyones taste!

Delivery is free (up to 3 days). Quidco does offer cashback, but I'm not sure whether the voucher use will prevent it.

Yip. I was annoyed I missed it at that price!
What are these like to use? Considering selling my gaming pc and want something that copes with university work along with learning python.
I suppose it’s better really not to buy anything at the moment with Black Friday looming

Used to work with a senior dev who used surface pro 4 at the time so these are plenty capable.

Don't expect to game much on it though.

Also, you might want more than 256 gig of space as that's likely to fill up quick.
with the Surface pro 7 due imminently i would expect this to fall rapidly over the next month. i paid similar money last black friday for the same spec. I would wait for black friday and grab yourself the latest model

It doubt it'll fall hugely, 10th gen doesn't bring a lot to the table over 8th gen, you've still got the same quad-core setup.

You could always add a micro sd card to expand storage, fits discreetly behind the stand, here: hotukdeals.com/dea…299

For me, the surface pro has been an essential part of my university and academic workflow. The form factor, display, keyboard, and pen set it apart from all others.

I first got the SP3, and I've also got the 5 and 6. You'll not regret getting one, I'm sure of that.

You won't be having on it though.
