Yep...TDX-HW7X

For another £20, you could get either the Dell venue pro 8 or Toshiba Encore, with full windows 8.1. Much better than the crappy RT.

In fact, if you phone Dell directly, they will give you the Venue Pro 8 for £227.

Really?! Why the hell would they do that?!

Would have loved to have got one at $99 the other day!

Dunno. It was a toss up between the Toshiba and Dell for me, and I phoned them both to see if they could budge on the price. Dell says they could do it for £227 and Toshiba said they couldn't move on the price at all, but could reduce a case from £24 down to £20 for me. lol.
Got the Toshiba encore from Currys for £249, only because I'm impatient and couldn't wait until the 23rd December to receive the Dell.

Yeah, a $99 one would have been good.

Thanks for sharing !

I have had my RT for a month now and I use it pretty much everyday. I have since packed the laptop and ipad, if I need to use any legacy app I just log on to my home server and it works like a charm I have all the my app needs taken care of.The RT is here to stay!

Good deal

Kinda wish I'd bought this instead of my iPad. You live you learn I guess.

One thing people always forget when flaming RT is the 9 hour battery life. Versus the Pro (1) 3.5 hour and (2) 4.5 hour.

Makes a huge difference when using them productively.

The only negative is the lack of full functionality within office, lack of formulae/macro really kills the usefulness of Excel.

you can easily extend the battery life on a win8 pro / RT; pretty much any windows laptop by going to the power settings and reducing the processor speed from 100% to 80% (or more). At 80% you will hardly notice the difference on basic browsing email etc. but will notice the extra battery life (which I think is a combination of reduced power for the processor and the fan needing to be run for a shorter period/ less).

microsoft store has it cheaper for students and it comes with 25 quid app voucher
