Think about it, you already have XP home, use the coupon to upgrade to VISTA for FREE and donate your spare XP home to a friend ;-)

Although it looks like the upgrade fee is a bit steep, have a look at the chart on this link.

It looks as though to upgrade from xp home to vista home premium it'll cost you £50 inc shipping on top of buying xp home! :x

Apologies if I haven't read this right though.

Some are fREE and the others are really cheap as I think a VISTA upgrade without the COUPON is quite Expensive

It works out CHEAP by upgrading to the VISTA version of the same Operating system you are using..

I.e. - Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Windows Vista Home Basic Edition Circa £26 (49$) + £8 (15$) P&P

Not knocking the deal, but most people will want the vista home premium at the least, so then you have the original £82.12 and then add the £50 upgrade fee. When you can just buy the vista oem for a lot cheaper (except you don't get a hard drive then :?).

Am I missing something obvious here:

You can go Microsoft Windows XP Media Center for £75 ex. delivery ---> Windows Vista Home Premium Edition ---->FREE Vista + £8 (15$) P&P

:w00t:

Noticed a catch in the FAQ bit:

Q. Is this a "Cheap" way of obtaining Microsoft Vista.
A. No ... This product must be pre-install by the System Builder onto the fully assembled PC before the unit ships to the end user. The end user must use the reciept of his fully assembled pre installed PC to claim the upgrade and only original forms supplied by an authorised system builder will be accepted.
