Note: This is a store only deal, I bought two today for £4.97 each, the link's there so you can see it at Amazon and get a feel for the great value this keyboard represents.

These keyboards are a steal for the price, just a superb quality, basic keyboard, with all the most useful extras (media and calc keys), (you'll wonder how they can do it for that price) and you can pick one up from your local Tesco today for just £4.97. Plus they come with plenty of features. I use them all day at work, they're the best by far.

Just check the amazon reviews: 31 people say 4.5 stars! But hang on! Amazon customers have to pay £9.47 for it! (TWICE THE PRICE!)

Note: Link is for Amazon, who charge twice the price so you can see the reviews and get a feel for it. Don't forget to heat this deal up before you go go or read on for the low down...

If like me, you hate batteries and love smooth, good quality, reliable keys that go, on and on and on even when you spill sticky drinks all over it, but don't want to pay bottom dollar, then one of these Microsoft Keyboards is for you!

Essentially it's the same build quality as the comfort curve 1000 (still my preferred keyboard, and I have a Logitech G500!! which has poor keys by comparison).

The mechanism is phenomenal, if you open this keyboard up, you can take the top bit and run it under the shower, then shake and dry it off. And it's a brand new keyboard! Great for unlucky types like me! There are a few touch sensitive sheets of plastic under the keys in the bottom portion which may need a little dry, but basically it's water and muck proof.

My only one niggle is that they have reduced the size of the ESC and F-Keys, which while they are easier to press, and save space, I just don't like the feel of CTRL-ESC, but I've only just started using it. Trust me though, it's nothing compared to the benefits of this good quality basic keyboard. 100x better than the "Slim" logictech one that's floating around. What a load of muck that was. Straight in the bin it went. This is everything the Logitech wasn't.

Features:

Media Center - Four hot keys let you control the most-used media activities
Hot Keys Included - play/pause, volume up, volume down, and mute
Quiet-touch Keys - Quiet, responsive, thin-profile keys
Calculator Hot Key - One touch of the button and you can quickly access the Calculator
Spill-Resistant - Enjoy a drink whilst working — keyboard is designed to withstand an accidental spill
Windows Start Button - Launch start menu and search your PC or Internet with Windows Vista installed
Plug and Play - No software needed. Just connect the keyboard to your PC and go
3-Year Limited Hardware Warranty

STOCK LEVELS AT YOUR LOCAL TESCO:

Don't forget you can call Tesco Customer services to find out the stock level for a particular item and check around at other stores near by! They'll tell you the price too! But we already know that don't we

Enjoy!!

What do you mean? You goon. I bought two today. Got the receipt right here.

Maybe I should've kept this dealtastic deal to myself, rather than tell goony-goons like you!

It's dealtastic, and it says INSTORE, so go get one, and stop being a trolling goon.

Certainly not at my local tesco, only offers on tech at mine are expensive headsets, and expensive logitech mice.

Theres this at the SAME PRICE:-http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-6645.aspx

Yep. Same one alright, but it's an INSTORE yellow label deal, at half price, and I can't be bothered scanning the receipt. It's the truth bro, just call Tesco customers services and ask them nicely to check for you at your local store! There are a few other good deals in the keyboard section too.

Perhaps it's store specific, good luck to anyone who can find them.

Seriously, you ungrateful ******** who expired it, are just doing everybody else out of a good deal.

Selfish. Just means I won't post with this carry on. Honestly. You ruin the site with this behavior.

s2frost, if you post an Amazon item link in the deal link url field on submission then the system obviously allocates the deal thread to the Amazon retailer and members clicking the gototdeal see a price that's different to the quoted deal price and click 'expire'. The fault lies in the submitted deal link which I've removed for you now and corrected the merchant - price comparisons can be listed in the opening post for info.thanks
