Good price, but I'm not a fan of suggesting a deal temperature for your deal based on previous deals.
Not voting.

£5 more for wireless controller + receiver. This is still a good price though!

I am. It's helpful to give context of how good a deal is (although I already knew enough to judge this specific deal myself). They didn't actually "suggest" a deal temp I don't think? Just gave info of how hot a worse deal was for context, in a useful and polite way. Is that frowned upon here?

Maybe you not voting will stop people from doing it again but I'm not sure...

Have you heard of "inference"?

This is a great price, but pay a little extra and go wireless it's much better.

Obviously not!

I don't think I would get one of these now unless you are not playing anything that needs the dpad.

Should be any time now we get the driver to use the xbone one.

Nice, I need a new replacement, how does this one stack up as far as "generation"? (Comfort.) I'm still rocking the VERY old school, 1st gen I guess 360 controller. Since I'm buying a new one I'd like the best sticks possible...

If you mean Titanfall PC, I assume it would. But playing an FPS PC game online using a controller is going to hard if everyone else will be using K+M

Is that really still the case since more and more PC games incorporate controllers. Is there not a subroutine programmed for compensation.

Isn't really much you can do, a mouse will always be faster at aiming and more precise, isn't really much that can be done with that respect. Even with auto-aim, a player with a controller will still struggle.

For single player games it's fine though.

Wouldn't matter, there's a time penalty of having to hold full-lock in a direction and waiting for the screen to move, rather than having full movement of mouse

You used one ?

It's designed to bring games that are purely K+M orientated to the joypad. Games such as Civ 5 and the like.

Otherwise it's just another twin stick pad with fancy analogue sticks and will work just as well.

It may work, but for FPS games it may only work marginally better at best. Eitherway the majority of PC gamers play with K+M when it comes to FPS games so you'll still struggle.

Yup.

I have the wireless version, works well and I like it

Have this and wireless, never use the wired, just always make sure I have rechargeable batteries. Unless your really on a budget go for the wireless, really is worth the extra money. Once you go wireless the hassle of a wires is very annoying. Voted hot though, very good price.

I assume that the wired one is lighter to hold than the wireless one?

Are you saying that it's unreliable to judge whether this is a good deal based upon previous deals? Because I've been following the prices of these for a while and the previous deal that the OP linked to seems very relevant/useful. I mean an OP could use a bad example yes, but I don't think they have in this case and it's not like you have to use it, it's just useful for those who want to. People with limited time to research and who want to trust the OP. It seems I'm not the only person to think so, so may as well be there.

Maybe that's not what you meant, idk. I just can't see the harm in an OP adding a useful reference point. If it was picked at random and was not a good representation I would understand as it might skew peoples' idea of how good a deal this was, but it seems like good information to add (based upon other deals for these that I've seen).

If the n7 2013 offers usb otg then yes*

May require a root if they changed too much

Heads up that it is £14.57 on ebuyer, although shipping puts it over this price.

However ebuyer have been bugging me for months and months emailing every other day saying I have free next day delivery. I'm pretty sure it isn't just someone there who kinda loves me and me alone. So if you have that same email, it'll be cheaper for you there.

I'll also point out the wireless one can be had for like £28 delivered here. morecomputers.com/ext…010 Receiver should be bundled, you should ask them before buying, but I would suspect it actually is based on the SKU number quoted. Would it be worth the extra 10 quid over the wired? I started with the wired, then got a wireless. IMO I would say so, for sure

Thanks, very helpful :-)

Just the right distance from me to TV

OPINION: I do prefer the wired ones to the wireless one, as

1. The wired one is lighter
2. The wired one uses less energy.
3. The wired one is more comfortable(to me at least) as there isn't the battery pack in the middle under the pad.
4. The wired one is cheaper.(Though it's been getting scarcer and sometimes as a result, more expensive)
5. The wired one doesn't require any additional accesories to work in Windows. Plug and Play in Win 8.1 for me.
6. I PERSONALLY do not know a need for a wireless pad, unless you don't have the USB port space on your XBOX 360, or would have a cable management problem.
