EDIT: Now dropped even further to £34.98 (from £39.99)

I've just received an alert from camelcamel as this has dropped under £40. I've taken the plunge.

Still overpriced by at least £20 for what it is.

Are you alluding to the story about the person who couldn't get their wireless printer to work because they expected no mains lead?

Anyone tried this with a Surface Pro 4, can it handle the native resolution or does it do some kind of scaling. This might the ideal solution for me when staying in hotels.

Maximum res' is 1920x1080. Would work well as an extended screen....

most hotels have HDMI and you can get to that back best to take a cable .

It's a decent piece of kit, especially if you travel a lot and stay in hotels frequently.

I bought one for travel as when I'm in a country with hardly any English speaking channels - I can just open up Netflix or YouTube and have it cast to the TV.

Although, It does sometimes disconnect on its own, however I'm not sure whether this is due to my tablet putting the connection to sleep or it's a firmware issue.

However I did test with another laptop and it managed to stay connected.

I've edited the posting as the price has dropped a fiver to £34.98.

Amazon couldn't/wouldn't refund the difference for some reason. So I was forced to place a new order at the new price and they're going to cancel and refund the original purchase of £39.99
