Excellent price for a great wireless mouse.

I was looking to purchase a new wireless mouse and considered the well reviewed Logitech MX Revolution, however the price of which is about £50.

I then spotted this and at £17.99 is a brilliant deal.

It has received good reviews as well earning a 8/10 from trustedreviews.com -
trustedreviews.com/per…/p1

The mouse is wireless and has a slot for the USB dongle underneath.

Experience comfort on the desk or on the go. This mouse combines 2.4 GHz wireless freedom and the precision of High Definition Laser Technology with the portability of a snap-in transceiver.

Play also states it comes with a 5 year warranty from Microsoft.

Voted hot, for price MS not best build Logitch taking that place, but great deal.

good price i think, although i have the logitech mx revolution (and logitech nano)...bought about a year ago...easily the best mouse ive had...not cheap but worth it as its so comfortable...nano is good but not a patch on the revolution

great for office use, but if you plan on using it for games then its absolute crap, its heavy, unbalanced, and zero grip in terms of lifting it off the surface because your pinky and ring finger acts more just like resting on the mouse rather than gripping it.

Dreadful reviews on Amazon - will give it a miss I think

Don't see any reviews for this on Amazon - there only appear to be reviews on the earlier versions of this mouse, not the v2.0 - can you post link to latest reviews for v2.0?

is this with the mini nano receiver ?

Using this mouse right now, they are very very good, highly reccomended. At £17.99 its a bargain.

Cool.

Quick question, i have a bluetooth dongle already in my PC for my phone, would it better to stick and get a bluetooth keyboard/mouse set or go for a wireless one? I'd prefer to buy a set rather buy one from one maker and another from another!

Thanks in advance!

Anyone know the range on these sort of devices??
I bought my dad a wireless mouse for xmas but it didnt even go 1 metre! Useless.

I've had quite a few bluetooth and standard wireless sets, and I've found Bluetooth to be a bit hit and miss. Generally the range is better but you tend to get more driver problems. and they can be unreliable, especially when trying to use the keyboard before the PC has booted up into Windows. Standard wireless on the other hand works every time.

Served.

I had this mouse previously, not bad for £17.99 but compared to Logitech it doesn't sit as well in the hand and generally feels very a bit sluggish.

you can pick up a logitech mouse with nano receiver (not one of these large dongles) for under £15 at Comet (not the Revolution but still a nice laser mouse)

I had a Logitech MX620 before this, and I much prefer the Microsoft mouse.

Bear in mind though that this is a desktop mouse and is not really marketed as being used for laptops (although it can easily be).

I had a look at comet and I did not find a desktop sized wireless mouse from Logitech at that price.

As far as I know, the only comparable mouse in terms of size etc from Logitech is the MX620 and that is priced at £24.99 from amazon.

It was a decision between the two I guess.

I hate having to use a mouse that you have to lift your hand from and physically move the mouse, the mouse should do the work for you.

For gaming though, there is plenty gaming orientated mouses available for such purpose and I am sure if you were looking for a mouse to game with, you would most likely purchase one of them e.g. Microsoft SideWinder etc.

Yes your right.

It is temporarily out of stock.

You can still order though and it states it will be despatched as soon as it arrives.

So not expired yet!

Well, it's wireless, so presumably anyone who is interested in games wouldn't be interested anyway?
Unless they're not competitive of course :-D
