Quite possibly yes.

I haven't seen a microsoft comfort edition under £30, So thought this was a bargain.

That logitech does look nicer though.

MS make very, very good hardware. One good thing is they always have up to date drivers. Another plus point with the keyboards and mice is that the batteries last for months and months. Some of the others need changing every few weeks.

I've got this keyboard on my desktop PC, Batteries do last for months (Duracells)

Also I think all the shortcuts and sliders should work on Vista seeing as its Microsoft.

Absolutely brilliant!

Thanks IOM :-)

I've also got one and am pleased with it..has fallen in price so an even better deal now.

What have you bought for a penny??
It is 29.99 and you need to spend £30 to get £10 off with google
LMK thanks

As far as I'm aware, Anything at £29.99 gets through at £30.

I stand corrected though.

I think there is a cable for 19p somewhere if you need to add that.

anyone know if this is any good with the ps3?

no big deal if it isn't, ill just get it and use my current mouse and keyboard for the ps3

found ebuyer.com/UK/…029 for 36pence. makes the order of £30

I got this a couple of weeks back but i haven't tried it with PS3 i can if you want although i doubt it'll work as it's not plug and play you need drivers.

Just a word of warning the mouse wheel didn't work for a while on mine then it worked for a bit then stopped now it works fine.

Not if you use a mouse with your left hand! :-(

I bought one of the 5000 edition of these from Staples (instore) for £29.99. Really decent keyboard and mouse, pretty comfortable, and the things like quicklaunch buttons and zoom slider (which are present on the 4000 in the offer) are really surprisingly useful.

Only 2 minor niggles. First is for the F-Keys you need to press F-Lock to get them to work normally (instead of performing as hotkeys for functions like open, close etc. Little bit annoying when playing games where F-keys are used more, but you only need to engage it once. Second is no indicators for whether Caps lock, scroll lock or num lock are on. You don't really need them, but as I say, a minor niggle.

I'd recommend either this or the 5000 version. Not too sure of the difference between tbh.

Im pretty sure there are indicator lights on the wireless reciever. Still, If you keep that under the desk you wouldnt know if the keys were activated or not.

So there are. But as you say, its not that close to the keyboard.

Can someone confirm the actual connections needed for this. The description seems to suggest you only need 1 free ps/2 socket OR a USB connection.

How would 1 ps/2 conneciton be enough for the mouse and keyboard???

Presumably because it's wireless, only the transmitter needs to be connected to the computer

I can understand how this would work with 1 USB connector, but 1 ps/2 socket I cant understand. And to be perfectly honest, believe this sounds very dubious.

The reason I'm interested is my mouse ps2 socket doesnt work and I have a shortage of usb sockets. If someone confirmed this works with ONLY 1 ps2 socket and no USB sockets, I'll buy this in a flash

It has one PS2 and one USB connections. If you want PS2 only connection there is an adaptor to use the USB one in PS2 thereby allowing dual PS2 connection.

Hope this helps (and makes sense)

Yeah thats what I thought it would be. So to confirm, if you DONT want to use any USB connectors you HAVE to use 2 ps/2 connections
