I guess the listed one is not wireless, its a standard wired controller... but its a good deal.

Any way of connecting to a PS3???

Its been this price for a long time now.

Not questioning if its not a good deal :), just wondering if there is a difference between a standard wired 360 controller, and one that is designed for windows which this suggests? As any wired 360 controller being USB connected works as standard on a PC (And the wireless ones work too with an attached charge lead)

Apparantly so if you use Linux based Fedora 5you can plug a standard wired 360 controller into your PS3 and have drivers working.

These are standard 360 controllers. The only difference is that they are marketed under the games for windows brand as they work on the pc too.

The wireless controllers wont work with just the charge lead and will only work with the crossfire wireless adapter.

Its the exact same controller simply in different packaging. From what i seen in game station when its packaged for pc it comes in red packaging, when its packaged for xbox it comes in the usual xbox accesories packaging

Havent tried in a game title, but I have an official charge lead for my wireless 360 controller, and windows vista detects and installs drivers straight away, so why the need for a crossfire wireless adapter?

Yes vista detects it. It still only transfers power, not data.
You still need the adapter.

Ah ok thanks for that, I wonder though how it detects it if it doesnt recognise it as data?..dammit, I was going to play some games using my controller under vista, how much is a crossfire kit.

Well, apart from the initial data to tell it what was plugged in, its the same as when you plug it into the 360. Its still wireless.
The adapter is £10-15.

Thanks for that, hmmm buy a wired controller or a wireless adapter! I guess I will research a bit more, all depends if the 360 force feedback wheel is compatible with the PC.

Rep left for your input, really just assumed that with Vista detecting it, it would work and never read more into it!

It's hard to believe nobody have seen this before here :

It's very old deal.Something like 1 year etc.Anyway the controller itself it's very high quality. There is nothing to complain. For some people especially those who used to play only on Play station controllers this controller is a bit heavier.I've tried many controllers in my life and this one is one of the best one so far.

The RRP price on play is always overfloated. It's hard to believe that what they say.Even game and gamestation,HMV etc are selling this for 25 pounds. So overally it's a fair deal especially when postage is free. The good thing about play delivery is you got this on morning.Something like 7.30 am and you don't have to wait 5 or 6 working days.Amazon is always slower.

been this price for a while £18.21 on ebuyer too so not a huge saving.

I thought you were being serious up until that point

As far as I'm aware Play have always had it this price since the 360 launch? The rrp is 24.99 not 39.99

Well I don't believe everyone's got same luck but since I've made about 20 orders I usually got my delivery around 8 o'clock .Please make a note that's my experience.I believe I am insainly lucky. :w00t: because I always choose free delivery.

The very good thing about this controller is massive compatibility.I had many issues with Saitek and Logitech games compability. Some games doesn't recognize other gaming controllers.Unfortunately with Microsoft controller in 99% cases all games don't have these problems.
