Why not FPS?

Great price, almost bought one but then remembered that I had about 10 xbox wireless controllers, which you can use as a wired one with a play and charge cable for about £3.

Keyboard and mouse /pc master race.

If you're planning to play FPS online with a pad then you wont have a chance against mouse/button users

can you use these with android tablets with an otg cable?

cheers!

Because if you go up against someone who is using a mouse+keyboard they have far greater accuracy, response and precision. Counter-Strike on PC is not played with a pad for that reason.

Very handy when the wireless one packs up right in the middle of a game

But i thought i was the controller!!!

I don't think anyone got your kinect joke. Lol its funny how they promised the high expectations and never delivered.

Huh. I was using my wireless controller with a cable for a year as batteries aren't THAT cheap. Not sure why you say it doesn't work?

Do you have a wireless receiver for your PC?

I think if using the wireless controller with an xbox it will work while plugged into the play and charge cable, but only for drawing power. I believe it still connects wirelessly. So on that principle it won't work with your PC in the same way unless you have a receiver.

Hello, I have a question, If i Play GTA VICE City on PC and use this will it work?

Also i dont want to buy this, because i have a PS3 Controller but that dosent work with PC has anyone ACTUALLY Done that? PS3 CONTROLLER to PC? if so how? thanks

Not much cheaper than usual. 43 in stock when you posted, 43 in stock now.

Ordered, thanks and heat.
PS3 Motioninjoy+Joy2Key but some games will block j2k. Plus I can't get analogue to work, doesn't matter much as I'm a d-pad gamer.

7 year old controller for £17!!!

Still a good pad and well priced.
Ergonomically sound, arguably no superior option (and It's not as if my hands have changed much in that time).

Hopefully this will be the last time the deal is posted though... repeated with alarming regularity.

But still.. I hope its repeated until someone finally designs a better controller
Gotta laugh at the controller FPS arguments here. I did an equally stupid thing, playing Dirt 2 with a keyboard for years (Doh!)

Should have always been this price. The newer style ones are of far lower quality to the ones that come out when the 360 originally launched. They just feel incredibly cheap when compared to the controllers nintendo, sony, and even some third party companies produce.

I must have returned about 15 of them to amazon so far due to a mixture of squeaky analogue sticks/triggers, shoulder buttons not being clicky, or the right side of the poor excuse of a dpad not registering without loads of force.

The issues with the right button on dpad and non-clicky shoulder buttons were also widespread issues with the original white controller as well. Seems Micro$oft care far too much about monetising XBL users to fix their quality control measures.

You cant use a wired charge and play cable it only transfers the power, not the instructions. Im tempted to buy this, is this the best deal, got 4 wireless remotes as it is, do i need another, is fps on my mac worth it... mmm

Yeah I know what people are suggesting, I'm saying it doesn't work for me. I was asking him that because if he had a wireless receiver, obviously he would be able to use the controller whether it had batteries or not.

I can't use my controller when plugged into the PC via play and charge cable if the wireless receiver is unplugged. Yagetme?

Which is simply not true, unless something changed under the radar (no offence).
The play and charge kit does not work as a USB connection.

Edit: ****! Stop the press. After all this confusion you mean on a 360 don't you? Lol.

The left trigger of my 2013 purchased pad squeaks 'slightly', the one i've owned since launch night 2005 does not.
Other than that... Seriously 15 returns?

If anything I think the PS3 pad feels cheap.
