Thanks for the photo, I wanted an Xbox controller but didn't know what they looked like.

It might be worth paying more for xbone controller if you intend on gaming the next two years or more

Does it include the rechargable battery pack?

I assume this works fine with Windows 8?

Thanks for the heads up. Was only looking for one last night for £35, so snapped this deal up.

Yeah i'm on Windows 8.1 and it works fine on Steam etc

excellent deal for an xbox controller nevermind the wireless reciever for the pc - if you're lucky enough to find an official reciever on its own they usually cost the best part of £15. I've been using one of these to play my steam games for a year and they work perfectly with prettu much every game (windows 7 64bit). I use mine with normal rechargable batteries but a play and charge kit would work too.

Good price, hadn't seen them come down in a while so ended up paying £35 a few months back

picked one up last week and works great on the 5 Linux games on SteamOS too :-P

I've used one for a few years. they work great. cost me 15 for receiver and 30 for controller. so great deal! Plus I use play and charge kit in a usb port another 10. so get one of them too well worth it much easier! hot!

I tried steamOs but can't get the stupid thing to install right.

Cheers, need a new controller for my xbox360, and the PC receiver is just a bonus.

Thanks.

Preordered this last time the deal was on, it arrived on Friday and is fantastic for use on my surface, bargain for a controller and receiver!

I bought on of these earlier in the week and confirm that they work fine on Mac OS X.

Ordered the wired one earlier this week for £20.97.Wired seems to be bvetter for pc gaming

I had an absolute nightmare installing mine last week, the receiver and controller just wouldn't pair up!

I tried drivers from Microsoft, reinstalling and installing, different ways of pressing connect. In the end I switched the USB port the receiver was in and it bloody connected!

Great controller you still can't beat keyboard and mouse for some games though, I have heard it eats through batteries though so it may be worth while looking into the charge kit.

What sort of battery life can you expect?

Great deal! Was just looking for a new Xbox 360 controller - the fact that it has a wireless receiver for PC is a bonus! Thanks OP!

great for all the tens of games on the mac

battery life = 24 hours of use before charging, and the controllers hold there battery life along time if unused, being an avid gfwl and steam enthusiast I prefer the wired controller over the wireless, used both and personal preference find the wired controller far better, as I have found in the past that rarely it will lose the wireless signal and wont want to reconnect, its happened on more than one wireless controller on more than one o/s, whereas the wired controller had no problems in the past and is simply plug and play, its all personal opinion

good price. just in time as needed one

Bought one when the deal was last on (about 2 weeks ago). I've had to send it back. Kept randomly disconnecting, even after I tried a number of common fixes (allowing power always on in device manager and disabling rumble feature). Awaiting Amazon to send a replacement now. Hoping I just got a duff one and not a general issue.

I've used my wireless receiver for over a year and never had problems with disconnections or installation. I used to use the wired one but wireless is much better for when you're playing through your tv and sitting 5m away from the pc. I guess the only concern with the wireless ones really is the battery dying during gameplay but that doesn't stop this being a good deal.

Thanks - been waiting for it to come down to a half decent price.

Heat added - was looking for one of these for the PC so I can play more easily on Steam Big Picture. Really good price.

Just ordered one of these

Seems to be a good deal at the moment, but I got one of these from Amazon in 2010 for £14.99, so not the cheapest ever although admittedly mine was white.

Great stuff! Ordered thanks

I've been using the wired one for years for PC gaming. Especially Steams Big Picture. I bought the wireless one last week and I have to say I probably won't use my wired one again!

Performance is on par but with the addition of not getting tangled in the cable, wrapping for storage or getting caught under PC chair wheels. Wireless wins for me!

I wonder if Valve's new controller will become the controller of choice for PC gamers. I imagine it will have an affect on the price of these types of controllers.

Hi, am after the pc recevier, if anyone wants to sell theirs.

same here

I've been waiting for the wired one to come back around £15, but since playing Fallout NV on Steam for the past few weeks, I've kinda gotten used to the PC controls now haha. Might be worth purchasing one for any action games though. Given the cheaper price of PC games it'll probably have paid for itself soon enough

Thank you.

I was wondering why you needed an adapter then saw it was for the PC too. Great!

I looked on Amazon and the regular wireless controller, just for the XBox 360, was £29.04. amazon.co.uk/Off…__1

On that alone, this is very hot. I'd already added heat before seeing that though!

Doubt it.

don't buy the battery pack, instead buy Eneloop rechargeable batteries, last way longer and very low discharge.

Ordered, great deal

funny. I added to my wish list last night. today it goes down.

I should be so lucky.
