Before you click the cold button do keep in mind this console will release on 31st August 2016 while the 500GB / 1TB variants will release around December 2016.

This 2TB variant comes with 2TB hard drive of course plus official stand which probably cost £15-£20 or higher on it's own. Don't forget Amazon support which is top notch!

Pre-ordered one myself. Nice compact and sleek. Finally will fit in my TV cabinet

I'm ready for;
Dead Rising 4
Forza 3
GOW 4
Halo Wars 2

True but for those who haven't got Xbox One this is the model to get. Nice, clean, 2TB plus much more smaller without that huge power brick.

New Scorpio won't be out during the summer holidays and you will need 4K to enjoy 4K gaming. So far now I think the S variant is the way to go.

That's probably going to be twice as much it's made for the hardcore gamer expect £500-600

Also voted cold as this is RRP and not a sale

Which is great until the PSU packs up. The one good thing about an external power brick is that if it dies it's easy to replace.

May I suggest this with Amazon UK if you are worried about power supply packing up

nah, cheap uhd player
I'm sorry, this isn't a deal. It's rrp for the product.
Not a deal, cold.
cold, not a deal, and will be out of date next year when the xbox Scorpio comes out. it would be madness to buy this now.
Yeah, sorry it's not cold because of the Xbox it's cold because it's rrp

Why do people could saying wait until next year? The Scorpio is out in 18 months and this is a great price for a UHD blu-ray player and a definite upgrade.

If that is the case it won't sell. However with ever increasing graphic technology and the fact it's around 15 months away I can't see it costing any more than the current X1 launch price.
This is not a deal it's the retail price

Yep gonna be at least this kinda money, the s is a brilliant console for people just looking for a 4K BR player nevermind a console! Awesomesauce!
Great price, the $ony ponies are out in force

HEAT!
Not particularly relevant to anything but, this is currently the cheapest way of getting a standalone UHD player. So, you get a cheap UHD player with a free Xbox One thrown in if you like?

What exactly is a hardcore gamer?

I agree RRP does not make any deal hot though, it doesn't help either that we are used to seeing the base model popping up just over the £200 mark with games.

My student discount is only discounting £5...
'Deal' is cold since it is RRP. When this hits £300, then it will be a deal.

Scorpio is irrelevant to this, if you want to play Xbox One games, then get an Xbox One - just find a better deal than this

to get the most out it you need a 4K TV as well which a lot of people dont have. so another £500 plus as well as the price of the new console

Curious too, in e3 coverage, they said "early August" and didn't mention different dates for different storage options.

Haven't voted, agree it's not technically a deal at rrp but personally think it's great. A uhd bluray player is £400+ so you're paying £50 less AND getting an xbox with 2tb. Preordered mine at Game thanks to the double trade in deal.
Man I want the 1TB one as 2TB is way too much for me. Shame it comes out in Dec and with no stand.

Scorpio is Holidays 2017 - which means 16/7 months away. It all depends if you really want to wait that long. And then you have to wait a year or so for titles to appear that make full use of the machines capabilities.

I have now researched this and found these Dec dates are placeholders.

Confirmed by MS.

Can't seem to post link on phone so search for gamespot xbox one s release date.

Would be surprised if they were out this late as all the hype would have died down by then

Possible £339.99 - £10 Quidco Cashback - Quidco / Microsoft Store
wanted a Xbox one for the exclusive games, but it's still way too expensive......I'll stick with my ps4 for now.
I was thinking about upgrading to this but it has no kinetic port

You will get a Free adapter if you have current Xbox One and Kinect and you are going to the S model.

Yes MCV now have this model down to be released on August 2nd and MS have confirmed the other release dates are just placeholders.

"Holidays" is a bit vague. Microsoft probably meant Christmas 2017 'cause that's the PC term for Christmas over there.
