It's really quite impressive the price they managed to put this console out for, even at launch. I was really impressed with it and the build quality is so solid!

It still sells quite well compared to the Ps4 Pro.

It was worth every penny at £449 at launch, if you have a great 4K set up, nowadays £349 is the worthwhile price.

But it's now consistently been under £300 brand new, which is a fantastic price for what you get.

I've bought 3 at the £270 price for friends/family.
"Very Good" tends to he alright from Musicmagpie.

But keep in mind, it might have no MS warranty left (I know musicmagpie say they give 12 months warranty, but I've heard mixed things about this).

You can currently get a brand new one for £270 at thegamecollection with the discount code (and it expires midnight tonight). I know that's £45 more, but the peace of mind knowing it's brand new with full Microsoft warranty, might be worthwhile.

And just to add - the controller might have a drift issue, as that's mainly the reason people sell their controllers.

The graphics are better , even at 1080p

Although a 4K TV for gaming is becoming a must, especially with the newer consoles at the end of the year.

Gaming looks so god damn beautiful nowadays.

Good good deal

May make a difference for people.

This is classed as "Very [edited] Good"

Their levels go down as:
"Pristine"
"Very Good" then
"Good"

If it's hiding in a TV unit, no issues!

This one is classed at Very Good though - but yes thats how the levels work.
Pristine edition for 240 which sounds like a grade A standard in Cex/Game i.e. pretty much brand new or used once or twice...mind you I heard its a bit of a gamble with Music Magpie...i've order an s8 from there before with the standard of "good" and it was more like brand new then anything, not a single scratch or mark on the phone but i've also heard the complete opposite from others.

Heat though, excellent price for the console

Just to add, there is a pristine one for £15 more on the site.

At that point, you might aswell spend £270 on a brand new one.
ArcAndPie, I don't disagree.

I would personally buy new apposed to a second hand one, if the price is right.

Unless its ebay i dont see any brand new at that price ?
Why do all these deals come out when I'm trying to sell my Xbox on eBay?
I am not using music magpie again, I ordered a used PS2 with three games. Powered the PS2 up and the disc drive was making a grinding noise and wouldn't read one of the games. Plus one of the three games I ordered didn't have the right game disc inside the case. So they obviously didn't check the PS2 was working or even checked what was inside the game case. Waste of time.

Friday shift packing and checking your games before dispatch?:)

I have bought 10 games+ from musicMagpie. Always prompt delivery and very good condition of games and boxes.
Never had any issues.
Highly recommended for games! 🙌
It wont be long before another ebay code comes along offering a bundle for £270 with a game sellable for £25.

@mixmixi I might consider buying one of these around Xmas. Better value for money than the Switch. Especially with MS promising to have first party support going forward.

I had that happen the other year - Bought KingdomHearts for the PS2 and It had some random other game in it. I sent it back for a refund but that was their "last one" at the time so ended up having to spend double the money to get the game. But in all probably 95% of the stuff I have bought from them has been as advertised and OK.

In regards to your PS2, have you tried playing it on its side? Or is it a slim.

I just bought one and I don’t have a 4K tv yet. You will get better graphics than a One S and faster load times, you’re just not seeing it’s true potential. Although I didn’t have an Xbox in the first place. If I had a One S already I wouldn’t upgrade to this but if I was buying my first Xbox I’d go for the One X over the One S regardless of my TV resolution.

And then we have the conundrum that the new xbox will be out at some point!

True although speaking for myself I won’t be buying that machine until it’s below £300, which is why I bought a One X. I’ll be upgrading my TV soon so I’ll be able to game in 4K for the next few years until the next gen consoles are at a price where I’m ok buying them.

Thanks Op.

But there is alot of offers that I am sure will start happening for this model. I am going to hold off.
This needs to drop below the £200 barrier.........
Very good condition with this Mickey mouse company means either horrific, scratched to bits or last year's dinner stuck in the analogue sticks and God knows what else.
Got one of these brand new for £270 with games and i've been using it mostly for 360 Games. haha :P

Micky Mouse?
Just had to return mine. Looked immaculate but kept corrupting. Ended up having to do an offline system update via USB stick. Corrupted again the next day. Sent back and asked for a replacement or refund, hoping they don't try and claim they've repaired it and send it back to me.

I got the Star Wars version for £249, brand new from Very using the £50 off a new credit account offer they had going for a while.

There's also been quite a lot of offers for the console from the various EU Amazon's over the past month at not that much more especially when you take into account they are brand new & include a game .

As a result don't think I'd risk £224.99 second hand but each to their own really....no offence meant matwalaboy.
Terrible company, avoid like the plague. Purchased an Xbox One X from them, money taken from bank but no order conf, no order number, spent most of one day on live chat to be told it would be sorted by 5pm and to live chat at that time, guess what, live chat closes at 5, had to phone the bank to sort it out. Pethetic company.

Yep , I'd never buy a used xbox one x for £220+.

Highest limit would be £200, if it was still in MS warranty and no damage.

£175 highest limit if no warranty left and no damage.

Someone stole the pristine goldrush one from me whilst i was going through paypal! ended up getting the good conditioned one instead, hopefully there's not that much of a difference. I use my ps4 pro more for gaming but my xbox one s for 4k media discs (it can be super loud at times though) is the xbox one x known to play 4k discs better, or have i just wasted £200?
