Excuse my ignorance, but would you assume this comes with the 1 year Microsoft warranty?

Can't see any reason why not, doesn't say refurb.
Keep saying the code can't be added to order when entering at vouchers at checkout :/
I have just added it and it works... Not buying though just testing it does work.
Almost went for it but no feed back since January.... Maybe I'm too couscous, not voted either way although very tempted
Whoops...bought one
Keep your eyes out for flicking screen (random resolution changes) or crashes with loud screeching noise. The Xbox one X has a known fault with the video control chip failing on the motherboard. Mine is 16 months old (out of warranty) and has just failed and M$ want £205 to repair it! My mates went 2 months ago same issue! Microsoft build quality still not what it should be reminds me of RROD all over again!

Interesting. I remember MS ended up fixing all RROD 360s out of warranty (after I'd opened mine ) so maybe you'll be in luck. What was the flicker issue? The standard Xbox One doesn't seem to like 50hz TVs, I had that issue on my old set where you'd get a random flicker.

The video control chip also known as the irc retimer chip fails. Its about the size of a small finger nail and has 40 solder points! The xbox shows minor interference / snow pixels moving around on the image and also just randomly automatically changes the resolution until it then just black screens (but the tv recognises there is an image so wont say "no signal") You end up doing a hard reset and it displays but with only 640x320 res as it cant process the hd image and if you increase the resolution it black screens again. Reading online there are worryingly increasing numbers of people suffering this. Luckily a local electronics repair company are fixing mine for £50 and are replacing the thermal paste whilsy its open ad the paste used by M$ is trash!!
